Not all heroes wear capes. I've been looking into doing this and seems pretty easy as long as you have the harnesses. I seen a lot of people repinning or wiring instead of doing it the more OEM route. please update us on the power door locks. Now I am on the hunt for parts!

the white box is needed for your power locks to work when using a 99-00 harness. it is also for the keyless entry also. if you want to that to add a keu fob. there should be a plug for it on the driver side kick panel.

I just picked up a civic ex parts car for the front clip after hitting a deer in my dx hatch , and started thinking how hard would it be to swap in the power windows and mirrors while I have it all here. Great video, I think I’m gonna go ahead and do this

Do I need to use power locks or can I just use the manuals ones on my door I have the whole complete floor harness like in the video, window power regulators, and door cards. Am I missing anything else?

Si if I’m using 96-98 power window harness in my 96 cx the power locks should work with the instructions given in this vide?

all i know is the white box goes in the driver kick panal and it plugs into the dash harness .. and it’s only for the keyless entry.. i didn’t feel like pulling my dash so i didn’t bother.. but i’m not sure how to hook up the power door locks hopefully someone else knows.. good job tho great video

Man wish this video was posted months ago, In march I built a hatch and bought a whole si to do this same thing. I put in the chassis harness, put all the power bits in the door but did not add relay. I did check to see if i needed fuses but it already had them in the slots. I got frustrated and gave up. i traded the car for a vtec model delsol and now have 2 of them lol

Try the key in the drivers door, but you actualy need the door lock controler that goes in the drivers door... on the 96-98 model.

I think you're still missing the door lock control module that mounts to the frame under the driver's side kick panel. It should be grey with a straight bracket. That other module you have is the optional one for the OEM keyless entry/alarm system.

I'm gonna start this project as well, looking at the wiring diagram there are different control units depending on if it has wireless remote entry or not. I'm the same as you that didn't grab the white box, looking online now to see what kind of box the non wireless one looks like.

as someone else said, I think you need the dash harness. I have the same problem in my 97... door locks don't work. I don't care enough to take out my dash (again). I wonder if an aftermarket alarm would solve this issue since the actuators are already there. anyway, the 96-98 model has the door lock control box in the driver side door. you'd need 96-98 door harness for that; it mounts in the opening below the mirror. 99-00 have the door lock control box in the driver foot well and the plug is part of the cabin/floor harness. I think the keyless remote module for 96-98 is part of the factory head unit, and a separate box for 99-00? can anyone confirm?

I did the same thing on my hatch. You are missing the dash harness. Once you swap the harness and plug that white control unit. U will have power locks.

So the Manuel and electric doors are the same, I have a 1999 civic coupe ex, I have all the good internals, but a deer messed the door up, I can use any door Manuel or electric what years? Just gotta change everything over?

1996-2000 coupe/hatchback doors should all be the same. Just got to swap the internals over.

No, but it looks like that box I show in the video needs to be hooked up for the locks to work. It didn’t look like I had the wiring under the dash to plug it in, so you’d need the dash harness as well.
