exactly. I remember being so frustrated with the characters because I was like, how can't you seeee??? The gift given was the possibility, the chance. That's what everything's always been about, the choice and control. You can get out of hell if you choose, angels self-actualization, etc etc. I have a theory that maybe God set it all up this way because he can literally do whatever he wants, whenever. He's eternal as well. Having that for so long... nothing matters, so why not just have this very basic blueprint, and then let everything else just go its own way? Let the ones with mortality, who care so much, do what they decide and believe? I think it's a cool concept, this self-fulfilling prophecy vibe, and why I love this show so much.

@@Fhornergal Her idea of the most desirable man may actually still be Lucifer, though he takes some getting used to. His arrogance and self confidence could be offputting if you were unaffected by his magical charms. The good qualities he has aren't as on the surface as his annoying & childish ones are, and so you'd have to get to know him before those deeper qualities would shine through. That's probably why she didn't find him attractive for some time. I wonder when she actually started to have feelings for him.

That he chooses to be vulnerable makes so much sense, remember in the first season in the first episode when chloe got shot, he threw himself on her while getting shot at 5+ times, and nothing happened to him. It only started after he talked with Linda about his feelings for her. Even though while they are at work he should probably chose to not be vulnerable for obvious reasons >_

Yes!! I'm so so happy about this explanation because A, it bugged me that he wasn't hurt by the bullets in the pilot and B, this doesn't come out of nowhere, it's established since season 3 that the angels self-actualize! I love it when a show is smart like that! And about choosing not to be vulnerable at work: yes probably, but easier said than done when the choosing is actually subconscious

@@kathrynIS he wasnt vulnerable when they where strangers, only after he developed feelings for her, and he didnt chose that really, he opened up to her aka made himself vulnerable on a mental level, what he didnt knew until like the last season was that making himself mentally vulnerable made him literally vulnerable.

The kiss made me fucking melt but I have to say Lucifer saying he'll wait for her in the cop shop was just so fucking beautiful. It felt so genuine and so sweet. Lucifer isn't the type of person to genuinely think of others feelings before his own, but when it comes to Chloe he wants her to be comfortable in not only herself and her emotions, but also in their relationship. I love it. Chloe thinks God didn't give her much of a choice, but Lucifer proves time and time again that he will *ALWAYS* give her a choice.

I have to admit, I've cried a few times this season so far, but that scene where Maze threw her picture frame across the room and breaking it and her crying made me break down. It's interesting that it takes 5.5 seasons to get around to this idea that Chloe's immunity to Luci's Mojo was the gift from God -- and Lucifer himself actually brought it up in the pilot episode when he asked "did my father send you?", right outside 2vile's place, though he was just kidding at the time.

@abnormallyadam I want to thank you for being amazing, such a sweet soul and awesome. I watched this show when it first came out on Fox for all its first 3 seasons. Then Netflix took ownership and brought the show to its platform in preparation for the new 4th season, I watched season 1 thru 3 again. Then binge watched season 4 when it was released. Did the same with season 5a then again 5b. I reacted the same way you did with these episodes. Keep shining your brilliant light🥰 The final season 6 was amazing made me sob so many times can't wait to see your reactions on that final season and I'll be sobbing with you😭. I'm rewatching the series in 2023 cuz I miss it so much and wanted to rewatch the romance of Lucifer and Chloe. The development of each character in the show engaging.🖤

I watched this season back when I wasn't watching Adam. Only yesterday saw that he had reacted to Lucifer and binged the entire thing uptil here and I have to say watch you react is like watching the show for the first time once more because you Adam are like my inner feeling spread out in the open for all to see. Chloe does have superpowers. Her body will never rot. Like eve she comes back in to earth in her old body, so if chloe dies she should be able to do the same thing. There are stories about saints who's body's never rotted so that could be along the same lines maybe
