As a dancer I totally get where you’re coming from. When I’m in that head space nothing I read will help, but I still thought I’d share this. It’s cliche, but our bodies were not made to be on pointe or figure skate on ice. Our technique and training literally go against what’s natural for us, but we still do it and we do it well! Mess ups are bound to happen! I think the fact that you haven’t messed up in 6 weeks is insane! The great thing about performing on a cruise ship is you get to redeem yourself next cruise. Keep your head up queen! Love the content!

As an audiance member...i think it is important for the professionals to ...as u call it "mess up" every now n then ...IF not... it makes what u do look toooo easy. ...even tennis pros double fault every now n then. And ...the difference in a pro n not a pro...is NOT that u mever mess up.. It IS how u RECOVER w grace and or HOW to hide the mistake.

Just came home after a 8 night cruise on the Symphony. The ice show onboard was, as expected, amazing! The athleticism displayed by the cast was incredible. I find it hard to believe the speeds the skaters can achieve on such a small ice rink. Thanks for the “behind the scene” videos.

I saw your show in July when we were on the Adventure of the Seas and every time I see your videos the one thing that amazes me (and this is probably a dumb one) is how you all skated in the old man like costumes. I think you sat on a stool when you did and the skating and honestly it still amazes me. We loved the ice show and I would love to see it again!

I’m thinking about choosing this as a career, but I have one question, after your contract do you stay in contact with the friends you make among the crew? I’d love to make some friends along the way but I’m worried that since the contracts are so short they’ll just stack up if that makes sense

For something different to do on one of your days, ask the maintenance guys or your dad can send you some touch up paint for your chipped sink in the bathroom. They are supposed to have a Lowes and Home Depot in Nassau if they let you go out on your turn day. This would give you an excuse and destination to go shopping.

I’m curious how skating on a ship rink differs from a traditional rink. I assume it’s much smaller but does the sway of the ship impact you at all? Is the Zamboni ride on lawnmower sized?

I found it weird having to make a reservation for the ice show, then coming to a sparsely attended show. Usually I've had to go early and was surrounded by hordes of people. I recall a few falls on the ice during the show I attended. I just figure it was one of those things that happen in professional athletics. I imagine a performer doesn't like not being perfect though.

Don't get mad at yourself for messing up! As someone who got dubbed "Miss Consistency" herself, I understand your annoyance, but you have to just shrug it off and get on with it! Just remember, most of the audience don't even know anything about skating, and don't care if you messed up. Only you care! Caring means you love being good at what you do, like I did, but we're not infallible, and no-one expects us to be. You haven't been overly happy in the last few videos. Maybe your heart is back in New York. In any case. I am sure that even visiting what many would consider paradise to be, can sometimes be a reminder of other places and people that we hold dear. As far as your skating goes. Even the best on the planet have bad days, so don't beat yourself up about it. We all think you're pretty awesome. Wishing you were going to be on the Symphony of the Seas this Thanksgiving, so we could meet you on our cruise. But unfortunately you're on the ship we went on just before the pandemic began, which was a lot of fun back then too. Anyway, I'm getting a bit wordy.
