I love your work!!! I’m wondering if you guys can be a little more concerned about reusing deck wood, older plants, or other materials? I know time is money, but this is our only planet, and their are finite resources, to know that you guys are willing to farm out the demo to folks that may reuse...... maybe there are folks near you who can help ??

A lovely makeover. I thought it might lose the maturity of the plot but it manages to retain it. The only downside, and it is nitpicking, is retaining a tiny piece of lawn that the owners will have to keep a mower for...but then the dog needs somewhere to pee!!

This is my favorite Abode video so far. The plants, arbor, statue... everything looks beautiful and practical. Really nice job. I've seen comments on more than one of your videos about the lack of stair handrails for elderly clients - I've noticed this myself but figure the clients may have preferred no rails.

Quite a transformation! I had my doubts about the arbor as well, but it worked. Love the curved brick walkway. Adored Pan but I feel he did not get the proper background to show him off. Would have preferred much lighter foliage behind him. That is an extremely high strung dog who I fear will be getting chastised for pooping in one lovely spot or another. I don't think the design took that issue into consideration, He probably digs as well.

Really nice design, but as always, there are far too many trees planted. The thuja hedge (they called it cedar) can easily have every other plant removed in a few years, but all those spruces around the statue are going to be a real problem - each one will get as big as the existing blue spruce and they will drop their lower branches and be bald trunks in a few years (ask me how I know this). I just feel so sorry for all the homeowners in this series because the yards look great at first but will be a big problem in a short time and they will have to pay to have it re-done/modified.

Wow those Thuja and Hornbeams are a) planted too close together and b) too close to fence - will affect neighbor’s garden. Plus, can’t believe they put a Cedar and an Acer so close to the deck / house. Lastly, that poor dog who has no more place to play!

Totally agree. They over-plant in Every.Single.Episode. The hardscaping is always beautiful but the poor homeowners are going to have a mess to re-landscape in 5 years!

That's beautiful work. I stay in an apartment in India and have a 30 feet long French window. Want to know which plants can provide privacy. Currently i have 20 - 12" pots of Raphis palm which is not so bushy. Please suggest. Thanks

You can plant Combretum Indicum . It is beautiful creeper and grows v fast. It will cover the windows. It is v common in India.

You guys make interesting videos and interesting designs, but you appear to be operating in the 1970s in terms of concern for sustainability. Your contractors destroy so much building material that could be easily removed and repurposed. (To wit, the deck in this vid.) And your planting crew tears out mature vegetation that could be replanted elsewhere. Are you familiar with the concept of embodied energy? Dirty Business could truly do with a sustainability director. Have you considered that? It would be the most direct way for your company to jump into the 21st century.
