@COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA is an unlawful entity. Our Ancestors never wanted to conquer anyone lol , they went there for trading and brought back the stuff they trade home , sometimes they warred somewhere to protect themselves but they were not offensive, even when they sailed to other islands in Indonesia , sorry my English 🙏🙏🙏🙏

This was the way they convey stories to the next generation and enrich themselves with their people and ancestors. They are so healthy looking and having so much fun. I can understand why this would look funny from the western point of view in the 1930s. It is unimaginable that there existed only 80 years ago. So close yet far from seeing these precious human beings

If it makes you feel better about the underlying message i am interpreting (anti-slavery), there was a popular nightclub dance called "foam dancing" [Baby Rock, tijuana, Baja California, Mexico], in the 1990's (i am in San Diego, California, U.S.A.). 'Slightly before my time for access to that, but reminds me of the invoked dust flame in a way, but different. ... underage university students and regionally-self-directed youths, from the States would go there for Spring vacation and have at the international youth-cohesion aspects the states had barred (often more recklessly), and, apparently dance in soap bubbles.

A racist presentation of a deeply significant aspect of the web of communications that Aboriginal people used, and still use, to pass on their culture over 65,000 years. These dances are part of the ways these men used to transmit a sophisticated body of Lore, founded on the ethos of Relationality. Similar dance forms are used now by the world-renowned Bangara Dance Theatre; they also underpin the extraordinary corpus of Aboriginal visual art - again, an art form that is the primary representation of contemporary Australian art to the world. By including the original commentary, without qualification, you are simply transferring the dreadful curse of British colonialism which still lays heavily on Aboriginal art, culture, health and survival today. You should remove the video immediately, and commission Aboriginal filmmakers (there are many) to transform the piece into a film that lays out the challenge to Movietone to decolonise your collection, just as so many cultural collections are now doing across the UK..
