Volume 8, Chapter 182 - About Future Events... The only chance for the Rich and Mighty
1. (The Lord): "You know that someone who has become rich in earthly goods, more often than not has also become hard of heart, as hard as stone, entirely without feeling or love. What does he care about the many thousands of other people tormented by hunger, thirst and many other disasters still, for he is well provided for, has never felt hunger or thirst and possesses an abundance of treasures with which he may acquire every other kind of pleasure for himself, all so that he will not ever have to taste boredom, or any other displeasure for that matter.
2. But then, where does such a person stand in his inner spiritual sphere of life? I say to you: Upon the point of eternal judgment and its death, and his entire circle of acquaintances is not far from it either.
3. Remember what else I will proclaim to you: Once there will be many epicureans upon the earth, a common judgment over all the peoples will soon follow, permitted by God. Then we shall see if there will again be men who will rise up, with measuring stick in hand, and daring to say to their fellow men: 'Behold, I have measured this large piece of land, I have indicated its boundaries and declare it as my complete and inviolable property, and whosoever has the nerve to dispute this or say to me: 'Friend, all of us have the right to snatch this imagined right from of your hands, as long as we have the power and the means to do so', him I will punish with death.'
4. I say to you: Never again shall such people exist, for the next time I return to this earth to hold judgment over such dead epicureans, but also to give the reward of life to those who, out of love for God and their fellow men, have suffered much misery and distress, the earth will no longer be measured with any measuring stick for the benefit of a few. Instead, wherever one will stand, he will reap and provide for his needs. The people will support one another, and no one will say: 'Look, this is my property and I am lord thereover.' Because then will men understand that I alone am the Lord, and that they are all brothers and sisters.
5. Indeed, this should already be the case among the people now, however, in this intermediary period of development of men who are as yet not purified by the great fire of life, it will remain permitted, but from this point in time, it will not be another full 2000 years anymore. After that, the spirit will be dominant among men, and upon the earth will no longer be a 'mine' and 'thine', nor will it be spoken of.
6. You, who are now My friends, possess a large piece of land of the earth that has been measured to you. Ask yourselves who measured it to you as your legal property, and the answer will be: The laws made by men, and your money and other treasures to which, again, only men have attributed a vain value.
7. From God's point of view, the whole earth belongs to all men in equal measure, as was the case from the beginning. Wise men should divide it according to the need of the people, teaching them to cultivate it, and then the fruits should be partly distributed by the wise men, and the surplus should be kept in warehouses and storehouses arranged for that purpose, so that no one in the community should suffer want.
8. But if the rich and powerful seize everything for themselves, then many will become utterly impoverished, living their lives in misery and great need, for everything belongs to the few among the rich and powerful, but nothing is given to the poor, except that which the rich and powerful agree to offer them in exchange for the hard work the poor do for them.
9. However, these things cannot change for the moment. Therefore, you, the rich and mighty, may you be true friends to your poor brothers and sisters, and show them love. Feed the hungry, quench the thirsty, clothe the naked, comfort the sorrowful and free the prisoners...
