Line breeding and inbreeding are the same thing. Tight line breeding, Mother to son, Father to daughter is supposedly done to "check lines" hypothetically you should produce both the best and worst in your lines. Then taking the best puppy and lining it again to a 3rd generation out. Gandparent. Then hypothetically you will produce a STANDARD. Until there is a standard in your breed it is not a pure bred dog. By standard I mean consistently produce a dog that looks and acts the same. Not produce a litter where every puppy is a different size, weight and color. So YES line breeding is required during the creation of a BREED. Once consistency is met, then out cross. Good videos man! DNA DNA its cheap and easy now.

If a breeder was "true" to the breed standard they would not breed from blue American Staffordshire Terriers. They would cull all blue dilute coloration out of their breeding program.
