When my Grandmother passed away, I was not there. But my parents were. My mother said just before Grandma died, she opened her eyes and looked at something and had the most beautiful and peaceful smile. I believe she was seeing heaven too

Thank you for sharing this video. As a retired nurse my last years were spent with Hospice patients, rehab, and long term care. I loved my job. Over the years I was with hundreds of people when they died. I don't talk about it much because people always say, "how sad, I could never do that. It takes a special person to do that." It takes a special person to do any job well. I couldn't work in a store with the public. You know you gave him the best life you could in his final months. He was so happy and loved and he knew it. He also had a gracefilled, loving, and dignified departure. I have been with many Christians as they passed over, and fear was not in their departure.

Just revisiting again to see “Pops”; the LORD Jesus personally came to receive this dear man, I am sure of it! A very dear friend of mine that passed away at 94 had the most amazing smile on his face when he went, I was certain it was for Jesus! Another friend declared that she would attempt to let her loved ones know when the LORD had come, she was able to signal to them and faintly tell them “he has come for me”; no one but a believer will ever know the joy until it is their time or they join the gathering of saints in the clouds according to 2 Thessalonians!

When you moved Pop into your home I was so excited for him and you . Then COVID hit and I absolutely cried tears of joy and praised God for how he placed you in a home where Pop would be with you & not isolated all alone . Love you all and prayers for your continued peace.

"When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be!!" I lost my dad at 69 from cancer. My mother is 93 and growing weaker in mind and body. I pray the Lord will comfort you in the days and years to come. Sunrises, rainbows - we have a wonderful hope, don't we?

Your father left a great legacy. I lost my husband in November. He was also a pastor for many years. It is so comforting to know he is at rest with his Savior after a lengthy illness. At times like this it becomes even more apparent that the things of this world are fleeting...what matters most is the eternal. Nice tribute to your dad.

Although I did not know him, I have the biggest lump in my throat. I lost my Dad when I was 12. The ache has never left my heart. That you had Pop for so long & that he was a good man... you were so fortunate to have him. I feel your loss. Prayers to all that loved him.

Tears of joy for Pop and for y’all. What a blessing he was to so many people. Isn’t is beautiful when you can see the face of Jesus in people on earth? Pop certainly had the face of Jesus. When we lose someone, even when we know the person was saved, we still experience the feelings of loss and separation. My mom passed in 2014 at 68 years of age. I miss her daily but wouldn't wish her back. She's cancer free! She's healed! She is with the Lord! Before she passed a pastor friend in our Bible study at work said, "Your mom's not going to have this forever, she's going to be healed." I didn't grasp the full meaning of this until after she was gone. My sympathies on your loss.

My father passed away a month and a half ago, I was picking up a friend from the airport when I saw something similar that caught my eyes, I took a picture and couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. Two minutes later my sister called to tell me that our father has passed. My condolences to you and your family.

I, too, grew up a Baptist preacher’s kid but my Dad died at 64 from a heart attack just before all the new medical miracles. He would be 97 this year. We are sad for ourselves but happy for them.

I'm not religious but when my great grandma died we were at her bedside just before she passed and she was reaching out and i said quietly "it's okay, is great granddad there for you? then it's okay to let go and go be with great granddad) my great uncle found so much peace in me saying this and i did too. My heart just broke this morning when your video posted. Pop was so sweet. I lost two great-uncle in this last two weeks. They were 89 and 99 years old,; both of them with birthdays coming before May. Pops reminded me so of those uncles. They were WWII veterans, and the last two I had left out of 9 amazing men I had in my family who served our country during that time. Pop will be so missed!
