Sir Ji, question about DSG. I have a basement parking, and always have to go uphill post 2 mins of starting the vehicle, and it never shifts to D1 on the slope, it always goes in D2. Sometimes when I try to manually shift to M1. Will going uphill in D2 frequently, cause more harm?

Hello to both of You! I wanna mention few simple points & may be not matching with the opinion of both of you upto some extent. 1- In India its herd mentality & lack of understanding of basic facts. 2- When compare market share of VW group (VW+Skoda) then compare only same segment cars of other brands. ( No specific data available for my point 2) 3- Indians even don't calculate value for money features, what is required & what is just useless. 4- If you consider absence of service centers is an issue then its totally incorrect. (My home town is around 150 kms from state capital Lucknow and nearest service centers of MG or KIA are only in Lucknow but people in my town buying KIA & MG. WHY??? ) (When i asked them specifically they are just blank or mention meaningless arguments) 5- Life is least important for Indians. Here 4 people travels on a bike & Maruti Swift has waiting. 6- KIA Seltos top model cost around 19 lakhs but having just touching 3 stars safety rating (Old GNCAP 8.03/17 while 7.99 is 2* i'm not aware about on new GNCAP 34 points performance of KIA) 7- The main cause of poor performance of VW group( in terms of numbers ) is due to negative approach of the VW group Indian bosses. (These people are old employees of Maruti, Toyota, Hyundai etc & they have no correct basic approach) 8- Is Toyota market leader in India? How many different models Toyota manufacture in India? Toyota just re-badging Maruti cars and selling them. 9- If VW hire a person from Toyota to lead VW marketing strategy then i'm sorry to say but its absurd decision. (A failed part can not perform well in new system which is totally different) 10- Why in India 2.0 offerings (Virtus &Taigun) initial lot was compromised and totally lacking VW DNA? 11- VW never share positive points of their cars with masses, while other brands keep on shouting fake claims.

I have a question Mr. Munish. What's your view on the success of KIA as it is quite a new brand in India. KIA does not have the early mover advantage but today their sales number and profits are good ?

Very good question. Let’s see what Munish ji says but imho Hyundai as a parent brand understood things upfront & that helped Kia to launch a perfect product like Seltos upfront & then pick the momentum with Sonet & Carens by compromising on the build/safety like Hyundai.

@@SunderdeepSingh issi baat pe yeh bhi bata do why MG is selling more than VW Skoda even though it came much later, it sells more expensive cars and it also had an Anti-India campaign against it. Renault ka bhi bata dena why it sells more. Lage haath Honda ka bhi bata dena why it sells more when it hardly has brought any products to India in last 5 years 😂

Sunderdeep ji manish ji.. as DSG limited to 250 nm max torque for tuning enthusiasts... now what about manual transmission... how much max power it can handle maintaining reliability

There is no such issues with MT as rpms have soft limiters on the neutral & while driving, no one pushes to 6000 rpm everytime. Expecting no issues till 1 lac kms

Hi Munish Ji and Sunderdeep Paaji.. if VW is having Challenges / Limitations in bringing sub 4m car with MQB A0 IN Platform, then how is Skoda doing it?? they have confirmed they are bringing sub 4m suv!!

Bhai kya baat bol rahe ho? You say Hyundai and Suzuki sell more because of first mover advantage and not because of extraordinary cars. So tell me, why is it Kia sells more than all german cars combined when it came almost a decade after VW? Now you’ll say they had support from Hyundai’s infrastructure. Okay, MG came even later. Still sells more than VW Skoda. Why? In fact even companies that haven’t launched new models in a long time like Honda and Renault are selling more. Don’t just blabber whatever you want, get your facts right.

agree with you deepansh though at last they negated their own point saying maruti and hyundai might have been doing something extra ordinary thats why they are selling those numbers. I think these 2 are highly confused guys :)

Sir reason is simple. VW group hired its top team members from various failed brands in India. So these top bosses of VW group are doing absurd things. Why VW group (VW+Skoda) not able to get 3% of market share in India?
