Dear Valentin, happy new year! Whenever I see your work, I am filled with awe. You are one in a million, and I am so glad that my mother recommended me to your channel, after she saw a report in television. I always had a fondness for stop-motion and she knows it. But before the curtains to your movie open, you need some large KZbinrs to react to your work and Trailer. There should be more people than these few here on the channel who watch your movie, so it will get the recognition, deference and admiration it deserves. The KZbinr Unge, who I wrote unfortunately didn't upload anymore for like a year now, but there are many, I am sure, a lot of them would be flattered.

Thanks a lot! - That would probably be very helpful, great idea. But I must admit I don't know much KZbinrs who do stuff like this, any recommendations are welcome! ;) And also the finished movie will probably not be on KZbin right away. First we're going to show it on Filmfestivals, and after that if we're lucky it might end up on some of the bigger streaming platforms and get a physical disk release. A free online version will probably be uploaded at some point a couple of years later, that's the usual "distribution cycle" for short films like this one, and I would be stupid to not take the opportunity to get it on a major platform if it's possible. Of course I'll make sure that all supporters get to see it first, we'll see... But actually it would be more helpful to get some KZbinr's attention now, than when the movie is finished... Having a wider Audience right now to get some more Patreon supporters would help a lot to focus on the production, but I would feel very awkward to text some big KZbinrs and beg for some free advertisement, you know? ...But if you know some good channels, maybe you could show them my trailer, that would be much appreciated and feel less awkward ;)

Als großer Fan seit der ersten Stunde, ist es so schön zu sehen wie dein Werk entsteht und hoffentlich bald auch zu einem fantastischen Ende findet, von mir gibt es auf alle Fälle einen Oscar.

Hey Valentin, Ich persönlich bin begeistert von der Entscheidung, einige ältere Animationen neu zu animieren. Es hätte sicherlich seinen Charme, den Unterschied zwischen frühen, sowie aktuellen Figuren und Animationen im finalen Film zu sehen. Jedoch hat sich die Qualität dermaßen verbessert (was nicht heißen soll, dass es am Anfang schlecht aussah), dass du vermutlich eine breitere Masse erreichen wirst, wenn du Einiges überarbeitest. Das würde ich dir nach der ganzen Zeit wirklich sehr wünschen! Zumal man die alten Szenen ja noch gut für ein Making Off verwenden könnte, oder? Jedenfalls viel Erfolg und gutes Durchhaltevermögen im neuen Jahr! 🎉

Danke! :) - Auch so wird man auf jeden Fall noch einen Unterschied zwischen den alten und den neuen Szenen sehen, sonst müsste ich quasi die ersten 10min nochmal machen, das wäre mir auf jeden Fall zu viel. Und die meisten von den alten Sets existieren auch nicht mehr, deshalb sind es wirklich nur wenige Shots die wir neu machen, vor allem einige Nahaufnahmen von den Menschen-Gesichtern die wir vor einer Bluescreen machen können... Bei einer so langen Produktion ist es unvermeidbar eine Entwicklung innerhalb des Werks zu sehen, aber ich hoffe einfach das darin auch ein Wert besteht, denn die meisten kommerziell produzierten Filme sind dafür sehr steril und unpersönlich, wohingegen man hier wirklich sehr viel von mir selbst und meiner Entwicklung sehen kann... Und zumindest gibt es einige Beispiele in der Filmgeschichte denen es genauso geht, jüngst zB. Phil Tipetts Lebenswerk "Mad God" an dem 40 Jahre gearbeitet wurde...
