I just got this Kombi head. Love how easy it is to pick up and go. No pulling cords or choking the engine in the middle of a hot day. Been using it for my condominium properties and it works perfect. Only thing I don't like is that you have to engage the motor to "on" Everytime you stop for more than 3 seconds or so. Not a big deal but something that I had to get used to. Overall I love this unit and look forward to using more often.

I just bought one of these. On the battery chart, the AP 100 and AP 200 batteries are listed as providing "reduced tool performance" for this tool. I obviously understand there would be less runtime; is there another aspect of the tool's performance that is affected if using one of these batteries? There are times when I may only run the trimmer (for example) for 10 minutes or less, and the lighter weight of a 100 or 200 would be nice, as opposed to the 4 lb. AP 300 S. I don't get much info from Stihl anymore. The heavily accented reps I've been getting lately seem to be only capable of reading from the literature on the website; I can do that. It appears that Stihl may have outsourced their phone-based technical support. Thank you.

I’m sorry about the drop in support. I’ve comfortably ran the AP200 several times. There is a slight reduction in performance but in most applications it’s negligible. Great for light weed whipping and love it with the Hedge trimmer

Have you tried the Stihl AP 500S battery?
@jmljml5065 Жыл бұрын
@@tmarq62 It works fine with an AP 200. Like I said, my goal was to lighten it up a bit. The 200 works great for my smaller yards. I've got a couple of 300S's, but do not need to use them in it.

Great video ! How do these hold up when you get stuck in the rain and they get wet a few times or hauling them around on a open trailer all season? Thanks

I'm concerned about how long it will last, I run a gardening business. How long does the battery really last in practice is it the exact same as the statistics given by Stihl? I'm woundering if buying four 300 Ap s battery's with one of those four ap battery charging stations. As apposed to buying the backpack battery's unless that would be better? Or maybe I could buy a big power bank to charge a couple 300 Ap batteries when out on jobs.

@@kevinbushell2746 I charge mine in my truck and it lasts me all day. Anyone that doesn’t use this with the power they have is crazy. I bought the 135r trimmer and the 135 kombi. I have a 131r Kombi and a few 94r trimmers. The electric Stihl products has replaced them all. I use the 131 gas kombi for bed defining is it. Also some customers love it when you add eco friendly to the quote. It could actually be the difference in you getting the business or not.

That there is a little bit based on what battery or charger you decide to go with but as a general rule you were going to spend around $750 powerhead battery and charger

Weighs more than my fs131,has .5 less hp and costs a couple hundred more? No thanks stihl. When electric matches gas in performance (power and weight) then I will consider it. Lower maintenance would be nice but not if the tool weighs more and isn't as powerful.
