We have two of your birdbaths and LOVE them as do our birds, (robins, chickadees, pileated woodpecker, hummingbirds, crows, ravens, song sparrows, many types of finches and grosbeaks, and a few squirrels too). Love that these are natural and no plastic, lovingly shaped. Thank you for all you do. I’m so glad I found your website!

How do you get that final smooth finish on these bowls? I would love to try this with our softer and colorful rhyolite in Arizona.

Where do you get your river stones? Do you have to buy them or do you go to rivers and hunt for them?

Over time, rivers change course and leave a trail of silt and stone "behind". There is a whole lot of "behind" to get our stones from. We would not take stones from an active waterway.
