Wild grape leaves are an edible green leafy species that grow prolifically throughout the world in a variety of different climate zones. They are a robust and hearty wild plant that can be found most anywhere that wine grapes are cultivated.
Producing very large leaves the size of one's hand, they are a rewarding species to harvest. Wild leaves are frequently utilized around the world as a type of wrap to hold an assortment of food fillings, often referred to as "stuffed grape leaves" in many Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cultural dishes. This is by far the number one way to eat the leaves, which are typically pickled to provide a tender, flexible tortilla-like wrapper.

I was wondering if grape leaves would be safe for alcohol infusions for cocktails? So far most information seems to mention infusions for tea, but no mention of steeping in alcohol. Any thoughts?

I have a Concorde vine in my garden. There's a nice sour taste to the leaf but a hard chew. I fear cooking/pickling will destroy some of the nutrition. My area, though, has prolific wild vines growing.

Watch out for SEEDLESS GRAPES...that produce their GRAPE LEAVES...they are hard like leather.... Only the leaves coming from GRAPES with SEEDS are tender enough to eat.
