Super funds have become like insurance companies, despite what they tell us they're only in the game for the biggest profit they can take. When they say "here for your good", read, "here for our good". Great information and recommendations Katherine, thanks.

Well, super is a big business, so no wonder each fund wants a piece of the pie 😀

Hi Katherine, Thank you for the the very informative videos , I watch at least 2 or 3 a day. I have a question: My partner and I are keeping our finances separate, can you please do a video highlighting the pros and cons of keeping partners finances separate especially for retirement phase.

Hi Katherine thanks for your great informative videos. I was wondering if you could do a video for us retirees on how individuals who are 67 years and older in Australia actually invest their money in superannuation funds (what investment strategies). I have been searching for a while now and haven't been able to source this data even from my super fund?? This information may, I say may give comfort to retirees to make more logical investment choices that might see their superannuation funds last longer. We are living longer so that would help. Thanks again for your videos.

I agree. As for knowing how much to have has certainly changed since we retired.

This is a great suggestion, however the problem is that investment strategies are as personal as the shoes we are wearing, hence you will not be able to find any detailed explanation. Investment strategy is based on what one wants to achieve, what income goals you have, where income is to come from, not to mention the risk profile. This is all subject to personal discussion and most certainly it is a personal advice. In this open forum I can only provide a general information. Feel free to organise a meeting with me and then we can chat about your personal investment strategy.

Very informative as usual. It seems it’s definitely a case of reading everything, not just the ‘headlines’. Another reason to engage the services of a financial planner who has the expertise to know what to look for.

THis was a sobering video when you pointed out the hidden fees. Which fund is the best then?
@AboutRetirementTV Жыл бұрын
There is no such thing as the best super fund, because we all are looking for different benefits. Fees are only one component.

I like your content very much. I have a question, how do they group the funds among themselves when they make this evaluation? How do they decide on the benchmark criterion? How can I access this information?

Loving the info in your videos! I am looking to put personal concessional contributions into my super, claim the tax deduction by applying to the fund. I was wondering if I could use that money in the same financial year as part of setting up a TTR fund?

HI Kathy, I would suggest to organise a meeting for us, as I might have better ideas for you. Also I cannot reply in a general forum as your question is of more personal advice nature, so just organise a meeting and then we can chat and go into more details and explanation.
