I followed this and did this on my pool 2 weeks ago but running the fountains didn’t help much with bringing the water temp down. Did yours work? Also when closing the plunger valve to get the fountains to extend did your pressure on your pump go up? Mine goes into the yellow when closing the plunger

Where do you live? I've been looking at ways to bring down the temp on my above ground pool also and and people say that a fountain is the best method. I'm getting ready to build something like this to see if it will help, I live in Arizona

I don’t close it all the way so the return is still flowing water also.

Can you run it like this with fountain non stop?

If you are diverting your only return, you will get poor circulation - and algae thrive in still water. I'd def. recommend the ball valve option so you can use the fountain when you want to but have the main jet to move water deeper down.

I don’t fully shut off the return so yes you can run it the whole time. I just turn it on enough to have the water flowing.
