I think what I love the most about this scene is that it highlights the gap between amateur and professional. Shep is presumed to be former NBA material, and Kyle is presumably the best high schooler in the nation or at least one of them. Even though it's presumed to be years since Shep played, he still demolished Kyle like it was nothing. It goes to show that even if someone on a pro level is retired, they can still demolish elite talent on a lower level. Just goes to show how much the gap is widened when it comes to professional sports.

It also lacks any big actors. Good actors, but take White Men Can't Jump. That had Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson during the primes of their careers. Tupac, Leon, Martin, Wayans were not of that caliber. Still the movie lacks the respect it deserves.
