गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने कहा, "कांग्रेस ने फिर एक बार अपनी पुरानी पद्धति को अपनाकर, बातों को तोड़-मरोड़कर और सत्य को असत्य के कपड़े पहनाकर समाज में भ्रांति फैलाने का एक कुत्सित प्रयास किया है. संसद में चर्चा के दौरान ये सिद्ध हो गया कि बाबा साहेब अंबेडकर का कांग्रेस ने किस तरह से पुरजोर विरोध किया था. बाबा साहेब के न रहने के बाद भी किस प्रकार से कांग्रेस ने उन्हें हाशिये पर धकेलने का प्रयास किया."
गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने कहा, "जब तक कांग्रेस सत्ता में रही बाबा साहेब अंबेडकर का कोई स्मारक नहीं बना. जहां-जहां विपक्ष की सरकारें आती गईं, स्मारक बनते गए. बीजेपी की सरकारों ने और प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी की सरकार ने बाबा साहेब के जीवन से संबंधित पंचतीर्थ का विकास किया, मध्य प्रदेश में महू, लंदन में बाब साहेब के स्मारक, नागपुर में दीक्षाभूमि, दिल्ली में राष्ट्रीय स्मारक और महाराष्ट्र के मुंबई में चैत्यभूमि का विकास करने का काम बीजेपी की सरकारों ने किया."
