She's truly in her own lane. You don't hear anyone making music with this kind of voice, production, and overall vibe. This being 8 years old makes it even more ahead of its time. If someone dropped this today with TikTok, people would go nuts.

(Verse 1) Tonight Petals fall from pink roses And everything I thought I knew I suppose is a lie Everything dies and everything changes I was never one to have a green thumb And I’m green with envy Of the me that was young and unwise and unknowing The thorns are showing (x4) (Chorus) But you taste best when you're in full bloom Lay in my teeth, my sweet love trophy You can’t be killed if I rip from the roots Take it with grace I’m dumb and I’ll chase I’m young and I’ll waste you away (x4) (Verse 2) Tonight If you leave me I’ll flood out your fire Why don’t you love me like I love you like I want you like I need you Everything dies It’s always too soon to lose to the moon And you’re freaking them out And you look like a fool And you’re starting to know it Your thorns are showing (Alternate Chorus) But you taste best you when you’re in full bloom Lay in in my teeth, my sweet love trophy You can’t be killed if I rip from the roots Take it with grace I’m dumb and I chase I’m young and I’ll waste you away (x4)

@sailwh0remoon8 жыл бұрын
DIKKEXILLY she wrote and produced all of 4 acclaimed mixtapes along with writing everything in aquarius. she writes for other people besides her and is definitely among the likes of the people u listed. she is basically a more upbeat version of jhene aiko and a r&b alternative to fka twigs.
@DIKKEXILLY8 жыл бұрын
I'd have to research that, to believe it, She didn't write 2 On her biggest hit but yet is listed as one of the writers, that's not the same in my eyes. Plus her songs all lack depth to me musically and lyrically, I don't see Tinashe in the category of those women above, sorry

I just stumbled upon this young lady, and I love her voice, in my opinion, (just my opinion), she's kinda sounds a little like the one and only Aaliyah, very pretty voice, and then also, I like that rough side of her as well. But the musical part just doesn't justify her voice. And in some of her looks, she reminded be of that A. Banks chic. I like her too. But this yound woman here needs to get signed to a huge label, and give Bey, and Riri a run for they're money. Keep going girl, you have everything it takes. Good Luck to you.

The comments for this video are highly charged with emotion from a large variety of commenters. That is such a beautiful thing and stands as testimony to the potency of this Artist. We aren't Right or Wrong in our interpretations of an Artist's art. The fact that this Artist brings us all out to have feelings is proof of Her. Myself, I see this video and song as a thing about Trauma. Victim to Survivor to Thriver and back around like a cycle. Cause and effect. If one of us stops the cycle, We all win a little bit though. Chin up. Ride out.
