This might sound corny but as a kid this was my means to understanding the zombies story in my own way. *long story time* When I was in elementary school I would play waw zombies with my friend and would always play the radios in shi no Numa spawn and give my interpretations on what was happening and make up my own stories or piece thing together based on character quotes. I loved the overall atmosphere and mystery of things when it came to zombies but nothing hooked me more than these damn songs. I didn’t have an iPod or any MP3 player like some other kids had back then, all I had was my grandmas brick camera. Luckily the thing had a mic and speaker on it so I would put my phone up to the screen and have my friend run the zombie away from me while I recorded the song on the camera. Then on my bus rides to and from school I’d hold it up to my ear to listen to them over and over. I’m not sure if you’ll see this comment Kevin but i really admire how well of a job you did with these songs. I’m no musician but when it comes to matching a soundtrack with a game I wouldn’t hold anyone as close as you, except for the soulsborne series. They’re a close second. Through all the cryptic things in the zombies story I always felt like I knew what every song was about and that I understood how it relates with each map. Never did the moods not line up with the map or the lyrics not fit Samantha’s emotion as someone just wreaking death on people. Also I’m not sure if it’s cannon but I believed back in kino der toten that she has two sides to herself. When you come back from PaP you can appear in her room with her toys and stuff all regular or a version that’s slaughtered full of bloody bears everywhere. This also went hand in hand with how she sings that she doesn’t want to do these things but simultaneously will scream with hatred how she loves it all. I’ve got a short attention span and don’t remember where I was going with that, but thank you for these awesome tracks man. Maybe I’m old school but if you can make this last song a heavy one like abracadavre, pareidolia, archangel, 115, dead ended, etc. or hell do an all in one with malukah. I just want to go nuts to a crazy soundtrack on this final map.
