2018 marks 50 years since 1968, so at Abbey Road on the River, we decided to pay tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr and Bobby Kennedy who were tragically lost that year. A few of our talented musicians and tech staff got together to present this live performance of "Abraham Martin and John" by DION at Abbey Road on the River 2018.

The greatest “American song” ever written! Thank you Dion!! What these leaders represented was the highest best hopes for our future. Too sad/bad evil won and today America is a land of deranged anger, hate, racism, violence, destructiveness, and evil at home and around the world

I saw Bobby Kennedy, in San Francisco, when he came to the very small Native American Center in his campaign. What struck me, was his very humble attitude toward the Indians. He was very shy as he shook hands; his head bowed. Later on, I did my very first volunteer political campaigning. It was a challenge; but it was for Bobby.

5th grade, my teacher came into the room in tears. Our wonderful President was gone forever. I couldn't imagine what kind of person would do such a terrible thing. I've learned in all my years, it was just a man. Because he wanted a war that my President wanted to stop. When I was drafted, I learned to hide my feelings. This song makes those feelings come back, and drip down my face. I'm just a man as well.

Al, can you ever imagine trump visiting the Native Americans and listening, interested in the concerns of real Americans ? Even impressing you as humble ? I can't either

Can anyone figure out why the Kennedy assassination files haven't been released. First 20 years, then 40, then 50 years held secret. I believe it's because George HW Bush is still alive. He was in charge of the CIA and claimed to have never been in Texas. Photography proves that's a lie. He was the only one who could set up such a hideous event and keep it covered up from the American public. I want to know the truth before I Die. I was drafted, I'm owed that much.

My parents voted for Bobby in the Indiana Primary in early June 1968. It was their first time to vote for each of them. I have traced the railroad line cutting across northern and central Indiana back in the day that he used to campaign on the train up to Gary, IN and then by car to Indianapolis. It was a Pennsylvania Railroad line that now is sadly abandoned and removed. Landmarks do remain though.

You are so very right about this...I LOVE THIS SONG BY DION. I FIND MYSELF CRYING EVERY TIME I HEAR IT. IT SAYS SO MUCH ABOUT RIGHT AN WRONG. WE NEED THEM NOW IN THIS TROUBLED TIME...INSTEAD OF HAVING THE ONES WE HAVE...OUR COUNTRY Iß IN TURMOIL AND WE HAVE A BUNCH OF PEOPLE THAT DON'T CARE THEY ARE DESTROYING OUR WAY OF LIFE & OUR FREEDOM IN THIS COUNTRY IF THOSE HEROS COULD JUST HEAR WHAT IS HAPPENING TO YOU AND ME,THEY WOULD TURN OVER IN THEIR GRAVE !! WE need to pray to God to protect us now an give us back leaders like ABRAHAM,MARTINI,JOHN,AN BOBBY!! IT Brings cold chills, when I listen to those words and I love Dion for recording the song....IT'S BEAUTIFUL!

It is good it makes you feel but more importantly does it make you take any action to ensure our Constitutional System of Government survives all of our present perils. Because it is still true what Benjamin Franklin said to a women when asked what type of government do we have ( 1778 give or take) ? He said "A Republic, If we can keep it." At present I am not sure we can keep it though I pray God we can

My gosh! What a fine, sincere, beautiful performance. Robert Kennedy's favorite poet is Aeschylus. How 'bout that? A good hearted and interesting cat was he. I play keyboards and sing lead in The Burrito Brothers. This comes across to me as exactly what I'm always trying to do.

Just find the beauty in all people and understand that we have much of the same struggles day in and day out. It is the GREED of man that has caused the chaos we have today. Thank God we have a woman VP right now. Someday, manmade governments will not exist. That's when compassion and love will be a blanket to this earth. L♥️VE .........that's our only hope. g 1014

Dear Heavenly Father, please help us your children. Please help us to love one another. Please save our souls and give us the courage to reach out to the lost and fill us with your wisdom. We are in trying times. We know it's temporary. You gave us your Son Jesus and you promised us that you have prepared a perfect place for us...it's called Heaven. Your Son for our sins and completely free. We only have to believe and receive.

Great men!!! Some of the best the world has seen!!! A corrupted government then, a corrupted government now. Sadly, no one ever really paid for what they did to these heroes, and to this day, most don't know what happened. How they ever got away with it, I will never understand. The world suffers because of their loss.
