"The War Is Over" is the debut solo album from worship leader and songwriter, Josh Baldwin. The War Is Over marks Baldwin's first release with Bethel Music. This is literally one of the best worship songs written. So anointed. From the perspective of Abraham it is great just putting in words all that he must have wrestled with. To not just put his son, Isaac, on the altar of mountain but his own flesh on the altar of his life with what God asked of him and to still trust God and His promises. And that's what's expected of us. So incredibly difficult but God is still incredibly faithful. 🙌 thank you Josh for this song and this album, love the whole thing

Abraham believed God by faith. He was counted righteous. Patiently continued looking to the cross. Believed God through his seed he would be saved by Jesus Christ. When Jesus said it is finished, Saints arose from the dead. Matt 27:50-54. Abraham was part of this resurrection. Now as we Patiently continue believing in the work of the Cross by faith looking for the Blessed Hope of Jesus Christ to appear in the clouds. Titus 2:13 to bring the church to Him. Being changed to perfection and never sin against God again. Abraham had hope. I have the same hope in Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus Christ.

Urgh....just got erased...here we go again and again and again.....I think of how Jesus gave up glory to live as flesh among sinners who were children of darkness, dead to truth. He could not have made it without His Father and Holy Spirit in Him. I too cannot make it without the Spirit of Christ living in me. This life in Christ is hard. It is easy to praise God when there is no affliction going on; but when affliction hits, it takes on an entire new faith. It is then that my faith is tested. I am grateful for songs that remind me to always REMEMBER that to follow Christ is a narrow road...and that I need Him to help me persevere through the storms that come my way. I just sit at His feet and wait on Him to show me His face....He always carries me.

Played the lyric version for youth group lesson beginning the story of Abraham. I love how this song doesn't take a more musically inclined section of Scripture, but takes from the book of Genesis from the Pentateuch. Absolutely beautiful imagery, especially the test of Abraham's faith. "I lay down my flesh and bone... when ashes and dust are all that remain, will the hope of the world still come through my veins?". Chilling

My father's name was Abraham. His war is now over too. Went to be with Jesus a few weeks ago, although we firmly believed he would be healed. But we don't lower the truth of the word of God to our standards of life. It was his will to heal him but it didn't happen.

I need serious prayer. I remember this song resonating with me before going on a journey that I knew I needed but fought it out of fear.. it was leaving what I knew as “home” but never had been home.. to enter into a community of healing. Something I have desperately desired and God knew I needed!... yet, I struggled to really be still and SEE the hand of the Lord because I fought with certain temptations.. and didn’t want the discomfort.... so the next thing I knew is I was lost and no longer in this place...I have been seriously depressed and have struggled in wanting to go on because of the loss and the lack of relationship I sense with God...
