In 2.0, grenades are now charge based rather than a consumable, so that's nice. Now this challenge is much more doable, and definitely a lot more fun. You do sort of lose the ability to just spam them everywhere though. Grenades also have many ways to directly increase their damage, and even explosion radius. Also you definitely had one grenade during Johnny's segment at the start. It was just a really, really, really big grenade. And you did use it.

Get a shotgun with a wide spread like the Headsman, throw the grenade at an enemy, don't move your mouse, shotgun it in the air when it's close to the enemy. Basically a bootleg RPG. If you do it with Ozob's Nose from Ozob's mission it's particularly ridiculous. You can also use a pistol (there's actually an achievement for doing that) but it's much more consistent with a shotgun. Just be careful not to catch yourself with the blast lol

Dont the missile arms already do that. You have thermal rounds, chemical rounds, and emps rounds that explode on impact. Plus infinite ammo

I've always loved grenades, and almost always use a ton of them, regardless of my build. I especially love using them on my current pistol focused build. Dude is hiding behind a corner? Just lob a grenade past the corner and shoot it mid flight. As far as I can tell, it ups the explosive area and the damage. The dude definitely feels it.

I had an idea sort of as an open challenge to the comments section: the _Anime Accurate Cyberpsycho Run._ Sounds simple, right? Chromed up the ass, armed to the teeth, you versus Night City? Not so fast, choom. Here's what balances it out. 1: You are disallowed from retreating from fights, refusing fights, or using cover unless forced to by scripting. You have to barge in through the front door of all confrontations and are disallowed from using stealth. You _must_ emulate the full frontal assaults seen in Edgerunners. 2: You may only pick the weapons you start any fight with, and must use them until the magazine runs dry. 3: No reloading, ever, and any weapons you pick up in the middle of a fight, you must drop if you empty the magazine, or stop using them for a moment or two. You want to reload, you need to loot a weapon off a guy. 4: Looted weapons only. You do get to pick what three weapons you want to take with you into a slip back into cyber psychosis, but that's it. 5: Arm cyberware is only to be used after running out the mags on at least two of your three allowed starting weapons per rampage. This goes for other melee weaponry, too.

It's perfectly possible to tank through the first forced pistol vehicle combat bit, with the van after the Dorset saving mission. I even managed to do it on a run without ever using a healing item (but I did begin with 6 body). Here's the trick. If you're hanging out the window of the car and look down and away from them, it makes their bullets really likely to hit the car instead of you. It's like cover. You take a few hits but not nearly enough to kill you. If you're doing a run where you can use healing items and with all the opportunity after that to build tankily, you can probably do all of the car combat sections without shooting anything. Probably. Not tested. I did try for that on my no-heal run but the one after Arasaka Tower was too rough to survive it. I didn't have all the levels and cyberware possible by then though so maybe if you did that? However the best 'exploit' would probably be to just allow yourself to use healing inhalers like you're meant to.

An idea for a run. You must fight combats, no stealth, no hacking, but you are not allowed to use max doc's or bounce backs. I know you did a no damage run, but you were allowed stealth then. I think it'd be fun to play a mode that forces you to eat food, and use the regen perks.

If you wanted to agro them without directly attacking royce via punch or gun, you can also give them the militech credit without warning them about it. Fries their netrunner IIRC and initiates combat when militech assaults allfoods

Would be interested to see this done in 2.0 and/or PL, especially with the removal of the homing / sticky grenades and the change to them being on cooldown/charges rather than being consumables. Something like the focus perk that makes it easier to shoot grenades in mid-air might be a fun thing to play around with for some of the boss fights like Oda.

IF you did the Corpo path you could of just used the money that you get to preform the hit to buy all the food in the vendors as it does not take the items you have only the money you have, that way you could of had a lot more grenades at the start

whilst just playing cyberpunk i think the hardest possible challenge, the holy grail of challenges if you like, just occurred to me, 'you can only kill people by jumping and landing on them', as i just accidentally realised you can do on a passing NPC as i jumped down a staircase. I think finishing the game this way is out of the question but a 'how far can you go only jumping on people to death' would be an interesting concept, a community challenge maybe? ;)

if someone is already knocked out, NPCs can sometimes trip over them 🤭 so even harder would be a trip-damage only run. You'd have to get a Thorton pickup truck or something and cart the fallen foes around to set up the next battlefield. 🤣 Professor Chaos run.

Pretty unrelated to the main topic of the video but I've never realized that the hotel Johnny takes you to after saving you is called "Pistis Sophia", at 23:40. That's the title of an old gnostic text and translated it roughly means "Faith from Wisdom" or "The Faith of Wisdom". I believe the moment is meant to be foreshadowing, primarily for "(Don't) Fear the Reaper", but of course there's the other moments where you can choose to let Johnny have control. So because of your knowledge gained through the hotel experience, your wisdom, you are able to have good faith in Johnny later. You received "Faith from Wisdom".
