The epic journey continues as we head to Japan’s ramen capital! And though it’s Natsuki’s last day of the trip, we give him something to remember the trip by! (A broken mouth). Next up on Journey Across Japan we head to the Fukushima Exclusion zone to see how life has changed in the four years since our last visit for the documentary.

Natsuki’s understanding of English always been quite good when you consider the astute observation in his random comments … he just mangles the grammar and structure….even when his seemingly random choice of words at first glance is weird to a native speaker, it conveys the right message across. If he moved to an English speaking country, he probably get very good in a short amount of time as he seems to learn it in a natural non-traditional non-textbook way

I watched a lot of videos, trying to understand Japan’s interesting relationship with the English language. I never really grasped it until I heard Natsuki speak. A lot of the time, they’re just having fun with the language. It’s like a novelty or a pop culture reference.

What I miss about the first Journey Across Japan is the unexpected. You were out there having an adventure where anything might happen, and the camera was always rolling unless you were pretty sure it was going to be twenty kilometers of boring riding, so we got to go on that adventure with you. This is more like a bunch of regular KZbin videos all in a row. I'll take it! But you mentioned you felt like you'd gotten away from the energy of the first JAJ, and I think that's part of what made it special.

Ramen is so delicious and varied. It's like a warm blanket of coziness. It's a shame it hasn't been embraced in Europe. Sure, you can find some in every larger city, but I'd like to see it in every little town.

many european countries have their own kind of thick noodle soup, although it's more commonly made with tagliatelle and it's usually chicken rather than pork. there aren't any restaurants that serve this kinda stuff (at least not as far as i'm aware of), but many housewives will regularly cook it during the cold winter months or when someone is having a cold.

Amazing content as always Chris! But one thing that seems to be missing is what I think made season one so memorable. The actual journey from place to place, the traveling, the beautiful vistas, the random places by the road. I had hoped to see a bit more of that this season, but nevertheless keep up the great work. It is always a joy to see one of your videos, even more so if they come out daily!

I agree with this. While the videos are very fun, it is just not a journey across Japan to me. The only journey part we witnessed is watching two guys sitting next to each other in a car. I love that no matter how flustered Natsuki gets and how broken his English gets because of it, he always uses the word "fuck" correctly.

The funniest and most fun KZbin video I've seen, since you sampled most of the alcoholic drinks of Japan.

I know I'm not the only one who's feeling hungry after watching that! In the UK I literally just finished my evening meal when this episode launched, but now I'm drooling for ramen, that I can't get here! :-/ Looking forward to tomorrow. I guess it's 4am over there. I hope the editors haven't been up working all this time! ;)

I really like that they had interviews from the people working at the ramen restaurants. I think that puts this channel apart from a lot of others.

Natsuki needs a youtube channel of his own. Just pay an editor that can make subtitles, and we will listen to him read the phone book
