24:50 🏞️🌉Hey Chris!! Apart from Kurashiki, 2 other awesome spots in Okayama Prefecture that I think are quite underrated are Mt. Washuzan and Shibukawa National Park. Both have amazing views of the great Seto Ohashi bridge and the Seto Inland Sea and surprisingly has very few tourists... I have many fond memories of these spots when me and me mates would drive around these spots and other great lookout spots round Okayama-ken when I was an ALT there a few years back 😅 Been catching up with your podcasts and I've been meaning to suggest these spots when someone writes in asking for a cool spot that's a little off the beaten track... Love your podcasts and keep up the good work as always! 😎👍

I think I'd have more luck with the cats to be fair 😅

Love the podcast on YT. In this episode though, there's two things where I think you skipped on the detail. #1 Google Maps is also stunning for public transport. It lists train platforms, times, bus stops and bus numbers. #2 Suica on an Apple Watch or iPhone. When Express Pay is set up, you just top-up and tap like a normal Suica. Plus it gets around all the card supply issues. Keep up the good work!

They stopped selling Suica cards? :O What happens if I use the one I still have from my trip to Japan back in 2018 would it still be usable/chargeable? Also on the tapwater. On my trip to Japan (as I said above back in 2018) I had tapwater they just served me in a restaurant along with drinks that tasted like water straight out of a swimming pool. I guess they just wanted to make extra sure that I won't have problems with swallowing bakteria as a gaijin but my experience with tapwater was awful.

Suica card - no! Bought it a year ago because it could be used and returned at JR starions. But actually, inly in Tokyo area. At Shikoku, they told me I cannot use or return/withdrawal money from it elsewhere and as I was about to leave country at Fukuoka, I could not get to money I had at card. Could not even pay Shinkansen with it. So I just gifted it to someone headed to Tokyo at evening dinner… Why don't you add tag of place you are at or add it in brackets so people could find your videos like the one you mentioned?

Chris I know you read comments sometimes so hope you see this as I have a somewhat important question for an upcoming trip.
