For those who are not familiar of the Filipino stuff in the art and want to know more about them: - Bamboo bench (very common seating furniture you'll find in a Filipino house indoors and outdoors, especially within middle and lower classes // the bench probably is older than the people sitting on it) - Sungka (traditional Filipino two-player mancala game, played by using shells and a wooden board with typically 7 small pits on each side for each player, and 2 big pits - 1 for each player, better to call them a "head" i guess - at the ends of the board. each 7 small pits are filled with 7 shells, 2 big pits are left empty before game starts. will not say how the game is played and what the rules are cause too long and it can also have variations - people usually decide their own rules and goals - but the general and default goal is to capture the most shells than your opponent, placed onto your head. goals can have variations, as i said. for my family, our goal was to be the first to empty all our 7 pits while also having the most captured shells - we dont have bombs for this variation, speed and quick thinking is the main skill for this, we can also overtake the opponent in their track lol, idk it gets pretty fun, brutal and chaotic sometimes hahahaha i remember kids would cry/complain to this variation - and game ends when a player empties all their 7 pits.) - Commercial calendars (corporations will, without fail, give away calendars to customers and employees every year during Christmas and New Year, so often families can receive more than one of these calendars from different organizations. above the calendar format is always the advertisement of a corporation if not a religious figure like a saint, pope, Jesus or Mother Mary) - "Basta babae, tama!" (trans: When it's a girl/woman, she's right! // meme context: it's when girls/women make silly statements and actions and insist they were right, all communities of gender make jokes out of this - including the women) - Efficascent oil (we use it usually for flatulence and muscular pains; the scent can also be used for motion sickness // must have in every Filipino household, rich and poor // effectiveness speaks for itself) - Johnson baby powder (i think) - Vintage SANYO TV - Vintage PHILIPS DVD player - Jollibee figure unfortunately can't read the title of the other books besides Encyclopedia.
