Idol and The Voice are two very different platforms. Idol is not only a singing competition per se. It is also a competition to find someone who is not only a singer but someone who has star quality, an idol material. Meanwhile, the Voice, as the title suggests, focuses on one's singing prowess and/or potential. Kung di mo po alam (maybe because you were living under a rock) the original version of Idol didn't have much of great singers as judges. Paula Abdul wasn't much of a singer. And the f*cking Simon Cowell was a producer.

Dear ABSCBN, I encourage the coaches to do this more often. This for me is one of the best moments of the coaches. Bamboo's passionate approach and how he seems to enjoy Sarah's reactions when bantered, Apl who seems frustrated when Wil fails to answer and boy i was laughing hard when he runs through the front, Sarah who stands up for what she wants & Lea who adorably sits by the stairs watching the 3 fight over the artist. I love seeing the competitive sides of the coaches. I love this show.

How they fight each other when they all want the same artist, how they encourage each other to press the buzzer and how united they are to find the country's voice no matter how divided their fans are. Actually, 17-18 years old lang si Ms. Lea when she started all that, so that's an even bigger accomplishment. By the time na 20 na sya, she was already a 5-time INTERNATIONAL Awardee, having won a Tony, Olivier, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Theatre World Awards, making her the ONLY artist in the history of Theatre to win all major Theatre awards for a single role.
