On 2002 I was also victimized by RCBC insurance which I invested 2m. On 2017 RCBC return my investment 65k only.

Purchase of 152 planes by the Gokongweis does not mean that our economy will prosper in the years to come. That's just adding planes to their existing fleet or most probably to replace the old ones which were "shaky" before takeoff when I flew to Cebu way back 2005. Most probably its improving their service and customer satisfaction but not in any way because they foresaw something "big" is about to happen. An analogy would be adding more tables and chairs to a restaurant to accommodate more diners. Period.

Cebu Pac currently has a fleet of 79 aircraft, so even if they replaced every single one, they will still effectively double their fleet size. the reason for this order is because as per current trends, more and more Filipinos are booking flights due to the growing number of middle class. Ergo, they are not purchasing planes because "something big will happen" rather they are purchasing planes because something is already happening. To use your restaurant analogy, they are adding more tables because the current number of tables is insufficient already and projections are, it will just increase more and more

@@michaeld1170I agree with this I don’t think you would order that much if there wasn’t any math involved. Since this isn’t a startup most probably the computations would be conservative too so unless there’s going to be a new pandemic I guess it’s travel travel travel.. I just hope because of this they improve the facilities and add more regional airports… it would open up more places for business
