Im not sure ill make it. I had this for over a year now and the dentists keep experimenting with me because of the limits of my first nations coverage. Right now my gums are stitched up because they did surgery just to clean some infection out and said "hopefully that helps" like they have time and time again. It's about the 17th visit about that tooth. I think I've taken over 300 antibiotics all year round along with many pain killers. Last summer At first it was just the tooth that hurt now this summer the pain goes all the way up to my nose and down my neck and the whole side of my face is swollen. Ruined 2 summers for me so far. Please pray for my tooth. Thank you.

Last time I had an abscess was 13 years ago it was so painful and bad enough it was the Memorial Day weekend I had to wait the day after Memorial Day to make an dentist appointment, 2 days after getting the abscess I purchased Anbesol and the pain went away in 2 minutes and then I flattened the bump with two fingers, my left cheek was swollen the area where the abscess was, I got an x-ray and had the pus drained, cleaned and gums stitched up, the impacted tooth had to be extracted unfortunately. I was so happy that that abscess was gone. That was the same year this 12 year old boy from Baltimore, Maryland died from an infection that spread to his brain caused by an abscess, he didn’t have health insurance to get treated that was so sad.

A few days ago I had to get a dead tooth removed. It was the tooth on the top at the VERY back. It caused me so much pain for at least a month and a half. He tried to save it at first with a VERY deep cavity filling. After that treatment it was about 2 weeks later when the tooth just quit trying to get healthy and just died. I think the cavity was just too big and the drilling was so deep it caused so much hurt to the tooth that it just died. They offered a root canal and crown but I decided to just have it removed. I am so glad i did. I asked for the tooth after the operation and I have been looking at it for days now and I cannot believe that thing was in my mouth. He prescribed me anti-biotics 21 (500mg Amoxicillin) so I took them all as prescribed then the day after I finished he removed the tooth. I don't think I have ever had a tooth cause that much pain and for that long. I am happy with the decision of getting it removed. It was the very last tooth at the back so it wasn't between any others.

I just had these laying around the house and started taking them when I had the abscess and I told her about it at the appt and that's what she told me. Glad you are no longer feeling pain. Do not attempt to use pliars! Speaking from experience when I say this. My first muller on the bottom right shattered but only half of it and below the gum line. It hurt 10 times worse than the pain I was trying to relieve and I cried like a bitch all night long while contemplating suicide. Here I am a month later with an abcess swollen to the size of a baseball. To add a little salt to the wound, I am a right side sleeper and havn't been able to sleep because of the pain. I'll fall asleep on my left and wake up from the pain of rolling back to my right in my sleep. Waiting on Walmart's pharmacy to open so I can go get my prescription from the ER. They prescribed me 800mg Ibpruefon, 600mg Tylenol and 500mg Pennasilin. If I can't get the tooth removed and the abcess drained in 4 days than I am going to lose my job and possibly my life. I'm running out of hope and am tempted to buy a muller forcep if they turn me down due to lack of insurance. Currently obssesively wiggling the tooth until my finger tips hurt. I think it's getting close to coming out.

Me watching this after i got my tooth removed. I had an abscess, I'm taking antibiotics to heal it. My face swoll up on my right side, had pain from my back tooth that seem to spread to my ear and caused me grief. Definitely sensitive to pressure and heat. I'm glad it's gone now but yeah, if it hurts, deal with it as soon as possible

Had a bad abcess during the beginning stages of the pandemic it got so bad it rose towards the top of the gums on my bottom jaw.pain wasso bad i watched a few videos on draining and in a flash i was lancing y gum in the area of fluctuate....wow instant relief i couldnt believe how much pus litterally shot out of my mouth.took a round of amox500ml and i was good till the demtist were open again had the back tooth removed😁there is a remedy if you know what your doing and are able to get to the pus without having to go to deep

Ask if they can do payment plans or if they have credit cards you can sign up for (not my cup of tea at all but if you have no choice do it). Money will always come in life. Sounds very similar to what I had. Go to a dentist and they can sort this before it gets too bad. All they do is make a small incision to remove oys from pocket of gum. I could barely feel it once it was numbed

My 2nd molar tooth is swelled up and in lots of fucking pain. The same tooth swelled up before in the past[2 months ago?] But it went back to normal and I could chew and bite with it no problem. I was told I needed a Root Canal about 4 months ago but it's too expensive and my mothers insurance doesnt cover a Penny. Kinda contemplating on just getting the tooth removed since I feel it would be a cheaper alternative plus the fact I gotta wear a crown/Fake tooth kinda isnt up to me. My Upper Lateral Incissor had a Radicular Cyst above it and It has been removed but Guess what ? The infection was so powerful that 10+ Anasthaesia injections were given to my jaw but still I felt Unimaginable pain when they removed my Tooth . Then later after a week , I had to go through Surgery cuz the lesion had spread towards my right eye (Thank God it didn’t make it there ) . During Surgery, 6+ Anasthaesia’s were given but I felt every mm of pain when the Surgeon was removing the lesion with his tools. I felt like He was hitting me with a Hammer & Nailing my jaw . Ahh man. I pray that Nobody should go through What I had gone through Back 2 back Intense Pains .🥹🥹 Al hamdulillah Im strong 💪🏻 enough but I would Rather like to take 10 bullets instead of feeling that pain again in my life.

Got to go back for root canal on the tooth next to it which has a massive abscess she showed me in the xray. Wake up at 0230am after the painkillers wear off and have to take more but still can't sleep because you lie there and all you can think about is your f...g teeth. Happy days! Hope you're sorted now

How does one know if the DDS is RIGHT when patient is told the tooth that is infected has only one cure-PULL IT! What other treatments are viable? Y’all I had a HUGE abscess on my top #14 tooth and I also had a smaller one on my lower #30 tooth. I went to the dentist 4 days ago to get them removed. I literally haven’t been to the dentist in roughly 10 years due to fear. Y’all when I’m telling you I was dancing in my chair after she finished the procedure I mean I was throwing my hands in the air like I just didn’t care. It’s so incredibly worth it to just get those bad boys removed. Plus is felt really good to tackle a fear that I’ve been battling for 10 years! Y’all I’ve had broken teeth for 10 YEARS! And it was all over in a matter of 30 minutes. Please go to the dentist and get your teeth fixed, pulled, whatever you gotta do. I promise you’ll feel like a whole new person!

Ashley it’s seriously all about your mindset. Wear some comfy clothes and make yourself do it. I wore a couple jackets, some sweatpants, and some uggs. They didn’t care. They put me on laughing gas which helped 1000%. I literally kept cracking jokes and tried to make myself laugh to calm myself down while I was on the gas. I’M TELLING YOU PLEASE USE THE GAS! Actually breathe it in. Don’t talk AT ALL. Just breathe the gas and it puts you on a whole other level of high. But get high on the gas and just make yourself happy. Don’t think about the procedure. Bring your mom, that’s what I did, or bring whoever is your support buddy. Seriously I was cracking jokes to my mom and it made a world of difference. I was on the gas and the topical numbing gel for about 20 minutes and then the dentist came to give me the novocaine. That was literally the worst part for me cause I’ve always been afraid of needles and that’s what initially prevented me from going. But I was so caught up hyping myself that I was literally too hype to be afraid. The first step to being brave is acting like you’re brave and that’s what worked for me 100%. So she gave me the shots and came back 20 minutes later and was like “you ready?” And I was like “hell yeah girl let’s get this done!” And that literally improved her mood, it improved my mood, and it was all around a good vibe. She had my teeth out in 10 minutes and I was LITERALLY dancing in my chair and thanking her so much. I promise you it’s literally all about your mindset. Don’t be afraid. They’re not there to hurt you, they’re there to help you. And I promise you will be so happy and so proud of yourself once you get your work done. It’s such an incredibly powerful feeling to get it done and be willing to get it done again because you’re not afraid. Just be comfortable and BE OKAY with everything they need to do. They know what you need and so do you, so please just get it done. It’s been 2 weeks now and I couldn’t be any more proud of myself. Please contact me if you need any more advice or ANYTHING! @@tictact0by801 I'm no expertise, but the dentist were mostly telling me to take pain killers before my appointment , rinse ur mouth with luke warm salt water, hold it in for few secs and spit it out,ull deffo be needing some antibiotics after ur treatment but mostly just relax and keep calm... don't stress too much . @Leonardo DaVinci Naaaaah, I was only told to use Paracetamol or ibuprofen. I don't know abt any other type of pain killers, and tbh few days after my treatment, I was completely fine with support of some. Antibiotics , I had the tooth removed in my case. And to be honest, before my treatment it got to a point where the painkillers stopped working for me and the pain was unberable, that's why I I'll advice u get proper treatment as soon as possible!!!

What I really want to know is why dentist's offices don't have emergency care like hospitals. I've had some bad toothaches and right now I have an abscess in one of my front teeth and my whole upper lip and right side of my face is swollen like I just got stung by a thousand bees. Called the dentist on Tuesday and said I had an abscess tooth and they said they could schedule me for the 2nd week in April!!! Told them no way I was waiting til April. Then they tell me they could get me in on Friday but at another office 30 minutes away. Told them I would drive to the next state over if they could get me in that day!!! Had to go to the ER to get antibiotics for the swelling cuz I was afraid it would spread to my sinuses (which could kill you). Does nothing for the pain though. Seriously though...dentists know very well how painful some dental problems can be and some can even be dangerous where you are dealing with infection or burst abscesses. The last thing you want to hear when you have an abscess tooth and your face is swelling is "we can get to you in two months." Dentists should have an emergency services room for people who have a dental issue that is causing tremendous pain or that would be dangerous to leave untreated. Either that or emergency cases should get pushed to the front of the line. Check your schedule and tell little Timmy with the rich mommy and the perfect teeth that you have to reschedule his monthly cleaning because someone who ACTUALLY NEEDS A DENTIST can't wait 2 months to get seen.

They make it out to be far deadlier than it is. Necrosis of an abscess will likely result in alopecia barbae (small patch like hair loss around jaw). Death is very rare and extreme. Honestly, antibiotics are the usual prescription and almost any antibiotics can work to treat it. I highly recommend getting some if you can. If you can't, gargle with a sharp mouth wash whenever you feel discomfort, or salt water. Specifically on the side of pain. Avoid all sugars and carbs. And, use take pain killers if needed. Your immune system is fighting an infection in the root and once that passes, eventually the pain will go away.

I'm assuming with a comment like that you've never had an abscess...the pain is so bad that painkillers do not work, I even tried benzocaine and no luck! it is by far the worst pain I've ever felt and taking 6x30mg codiene I'n the morning didnt make a difference for the pain, but as soon as I took antibiotics the pain went after a day but the abscess kept coming back every few months. The permanent cure is tooth removal of the affected area and no not all antibiotics work, the only ones that work best or are prescribed for mouth abscess is amoxicillin or fluxicillin and metronidazole is prescribed with amoxicillin to prevent the spreading of the abscess

@@cjluansing9233 it is legit. i’m like you, had an abscess and was unable to go. read all over the net about the outcomes, meningitis, death and more. finally went to the doctor and kept asking the doctor questions from all the info i’ve gotten from the net about bacterial, viral and fungal abscesses scared to death. she simply told me it was inflammation (if you don’t know what inflammation is it’s unlike the abscesses i’ve stated above, there’s no spreadable living thing involved) and she gave me two choices to either take antibiotics or take out the nerve that has been inflamed, once i’ve finished taking my antibiotics she told me the pain will come back and once that happens (it varies from person to another) she’ll take out the nerve. the end. do not self-diagnose

The pain radiating throughout my jaw and neck is insane. I just got a prescription for Clindamycin (I’m allergic to amoxicillin,) and I am praying to God it clears this infection up. It’s been taking a major toll on my anxiety, sleep schedule and eating. Big shout out to my dentist for wanting $800 upfront that I do not have to remove my impacted wisdom teeth that caused the infection. If you are in pain and can't be seen asap, make a WARM SALT WATER RINSE AND RINSE/SWISH YOUR MOUTH WITH IT AND THE AFFECTED AREA UNTIL THE PAIN IS LESSENED. it's a great temp fix that helped me until I got seen and it can help u. Keep a bottle of salt water and a bowl by you DO NOT SWALLOW THE MIX, SPIT IT OUT AND RINSE AGAIN. I hope it helps and I hope everyone in pain gets seen. Good luck guys.

Am in agony going on 2 weeks, it started with nonstop pain and cos of lockdown, I could only phone Dentist. She prescribed antibiotics. I finished them last Tuesday, which really reduced the pain so this video explains things SO well!
