To be fair 😒 You can’t judge the waiter for forgetfulness when you don’t know what’s going on his life 🤷🏼♀️ I have a brain injury that’s left me with short term memory loss (and long term -.-) I work in retail so I do have to deal with customers and remembering orders or item locations. I have strategies for dealing with it in the workplace and very helpful colleagues but I can’t always rely or expect them to help. Sometimes the strategies don’t work sometimes I have to deal with unplanned for situations. For the most part customers are polite and not pushy or frustrated when it takes me longer than a normal staff member, sometimes they aren’t 🤷🏼♀️ You keep a polite straight face then when you go for a break you cut yourself up. My injury is what they call an invisible injury, you can’t see it and when it’s hidden behind my uniform you definitely can’t see it. I was never a judgy pushy person before but now I definitely don’t judge when I’m out and staff are forgetful cause you never know what’s going on in someone’s life!

Waitressing can get stressful if we have customers who want everything in front of them by the time they snap their fingers. I love waitressing, meeting new people, and I dont mind at all getting things for a table. I want everyone to eat and be comfortable with their food. But I hate when customers dont understand that I have to walk to the back to get their drink, or if they see me make a full round to check on my tables and then go to the back. Its like they only want me to tend to them. But ehhh whatever, not everyone is like that. Another thing people dont realize is servers get a lot of pressure/crap from other workers, managers, and the people in the back. its honestly NOT OUR FAULT if the food takes too long. We try our best to get food out but I hate when people yell at me for things I cant have control over. Like once, a table didnt like the music, oh and one table told me that the phones ringing bothered her all throughout dinner and that we should turn them off =| .. its a dine in and carry out place so no, we cant do that.

Honestly when I was a waitress I treated them like they were guests in my house so they loved me. Yes I made mistakes here and there but I never really had terrible customers except for two. One table made me angry because they were fucking with me on purpose. The second table was trying to make me break company policy to give them free stuff. And not just a few items they practically wanted their whole tables worth of food for free. The biggest issue I had was with some of the people who I worked with. Most were good but just get a few lazy coworkers, or those who are burnt out but wont stop doing a job they clearly hate, those that made excuses, those who half assed things, and those who treated the restaurant like a reality tv show drama. Some people just need to be honest about themselves and what they want in life. Oh well I was the fourth highest tipped server in that place with only one year experience so no sweat off my back.

I remember a while back, my family and I went out to eat one time. The food was taking a suspiciously long time to cook...The reason we didn’t leave is because it was the Sunday ‘after church’ crowd and most restaurants were full. We didn’t mind the wait- a few extra minutes won’t hurt anyone. Quite a bit of time passed and our waiter was nowhere to be seen. My mom soon asked the staff if everything was alright. That’s when the manager explained that our waiter took our orders... and left. He clocked out and didn’t tell anyone. And here we are, a good 2 AND A HALF hours later before someone decided to speak up. Funny thing is, I don’t even remember if we got our food in the end or if we just left.

You know its editing right? They pause camera roll there and shoot him talking in the room and he cant walk on some parts of the room because they're editing that part.

I think you guys should make a "What Would You Do?" video about Tourette's .
@kadie54299 жыл бұрын
I have Tourette's, but I wonder how the scenario would go... I mean, someone making fun of the kid for having ticks? Or someone saying the kid was weird and creepy for having them? I've gotten it before...
@sickpandora96249 жыл бұрын
+Swiftie Swift I'm sorry about that. :( I don't have Tourette's but I could only imagine. I would never make fun of you for it.

I'm a banquet server and luckily, I never have to serve food. It is always set out on a buffet at the place I work at. I just clean up after the guests and set tables. But omg I could never be an actual restaurant waiter! I get confused very easily and I'm terribly clumsy lol. I'd be dropping plates and giving orders to wrong tables. I'd probably be fired on my first day lmao
@vbinkk13857 жыл бұрын
the fact that he's a sweetheart would make it hard for me to cost him his job as well, but I know myself and I'd be livid 😂 working in the food industry makes you a little more critical while going out to eat. I try to remind myself to always give a server the benefit of the doubt, they're people too
@bigboomer10137 жыл бұрын
and that's why I don't want to get a job like that because I'm stupid as hell and will get into a melt down after making embarasing mistakes like that guy. I would of goten fired on the spot. also if my dad was one of the customers, he would be pissed and giving the waiters a death stare. emagine what would hapen if I become my dad's waiter (without him realizing that it's me) and geting pissed at me for making a mistake. I would cry

I work in customer service. I've had rough days especially when I was new. As a customer I'm always nice when they are messing up. I completely understand because I've been new before and i remember how it feels when customers get all bitchy over a mistake. Thats y I always understand.

I wouldn't just leave. I would feel bad for that man and hope that someone, possibly his fellow workers, would help him with his job so he doesn't make those mistakes. I would definitely tell the manager to help him out and ask for another server. Great video, you got a like from me.
