So interesting how much info they were able to get over the video! So excited to watch this whole thing unfold. And, like you, super inspired thinking of all the fun attachment ideas!

I just watched this, and it is really cool to see how your arm is progressing. Two years ago my right hand had to be amputated because of bone cancer. I have about two thirds of my forearm now, which is a bit longer than your forearm. It has been a big help in using a prosthetic. I got a myoelectric prosthetic a year ago, it is working out very well for me. It has a split hook, which I like because it is very functional, even though it does seem to draw so may looks from people, but I like it much more than the bio hands that were shown to me. I am 18 and just graduated from high school. I am currently working at Walmart, usually as a cashier, but sometimes at the customer service desk. I look forward to your videos when you get some new pieces to try on your paw.

Thanks for sharing that with me! Yes, the hook does draw some eyes, but very functional indeed! I grew up using a myoelectric too so this’ll be way different! Thanks for watching ☺️

Abby, your channel is really inspirational. Good luck with your prosthetic and keep us all informed. But tell us, can you play that cello behind you with 5 fingers?

Scary stuff for all kinds of reasons. What kind of training and standards of practise does this individual (virtual one) have. Fitting prosthetic interfaces/sockets or similar to the amputee population should be performed and assessed by the appropriate group of qualified and licensed professionals. My colleagues who are Upper Limb Prosthetics professionals and experts should be commenting on this.
