I've got one of your older 5300 setups. It's been taken apart and moved a couple times (had it installed in my pickup), I wondered if you'd be able to put it back in a wagon and box etc for me?

Would it not make more sense to use Lifepo4? Lighter, far more Ah without damaging the Cells, and like 4 times the lifecycle when properly treated?

Do your panels have 'kick stands'. Some self standing system or do they need to be propped up against something?
@totalsolartechnologies91377 жыл бұрын
Some people mount the solar panels permanently, others just lay them on the ground or lean them on something, and We have portable stands that are available to purchase. We are now also coming out with light weight Ultra portable solar panels 1/8" thick
@robcam8177 жыл бұрын
When will the 1/8" panels be available? How to they compare to the 225w panels you normally supply?
@totalsolartechnologies91377 жыл бұрын
We have them now available. Because the use Sunpower modules...they are 22% more efficient than normal panels. However, they only come with a 10 year warranty. We do not recommend them for permanent installation ... unless you have special weight or thickness requirements.
@robcam8177 жыл бұрын
Are they more efficient than the standard panels that you coat with your proprietary coating that come with your portable generators? Would the 1/8" panels be considered an upgrade to the standard panels? I'm considering getting the Solar Maxx 6000 to use for my home and also to take with us in the RV so the lighter panels might be better.

would they work in the UK? Our power output is different
@totalsolartechnologies91378 жыл бұрын
+Truth Europe Yes. We can modify them for anywhere international.
@totalsolartechnologies91378 жыл бұрын
+Truth Europe We can modify our units for use outside of the US. We are doing it for several other countries.

Default Name Great.Would i be able to run my whole house without needing the power stations? How long before i need to repair? can repairs be done in the UK? Can it be EMP proof? is it easily moved should i change location? sorry for all the questions.... i want off the grid and know very little about this
@totalsolartechnologies91378 жыл бұрын
+Truth Europe 1. You would not be able to run your whole house, unless you had a full house system. It is a matter of power mangement. Basically, what appliances do you want/need to run, for how long, day or night? A good solar system should easily run 10 years or longer. The batteries are the weakpoint...but, if you treat them "nicely" they can last up to 20 years. A house solar system cannot be made EMP resistant. Only the portable ones can. To make a house EMP resistant... you just need to have replacement electronic components (inverter/charge controller) in an EMP box.

Default Name So there are whole house systems? We are a fam of 4...We have gas heating, but it need electric.. a playstation, TV, tablet and phone charging... reptiles who need heat lamps, 5 in total and a aquarium... the washer runs every day too.... n do you offer full systems? hmmm deep cell batteries? no caps, no new age stuff that has longer life and weighs less?
@totalsolartechnologies91378 жыл бұрын
AGM batteries were developed by the military for use in fighter jet aircraft. They are sealed batteries, no maintenance...they don't leak fumes, acid (even when broken). If only discharged to 50% of capacity...they will last over 20 years. However, they are still basically lead acid type batteries. However, we are in the process of preparing a Lithium battery option. Lithium batteries can be discharged up to 80% of capacity, 3000 cycles...and are lighter and double the capacity for the same space and have better temperature parameters,. Drawbacks are ... 3 times more expensive, they will not last 10-20 years since they start deteriorating when made..life is more like 5-10 years. the explosive nature of Lithium has been tamed for the most part.
