‘Absolute cowardice’: Obama ‘hiding’ behind George Clooney on Biden’s mental state

Newsweek Opinion Editor Batya Ungar-Sargon has called Barack Obama “hiding” behind George Clooney’s op-ed telling Joe Biden to step down “absolute cowardice”.
“The perfidy, the lying, the media which had access to President Biden and knew this and kept it from the American people and now turning on a dime in lockstep to push him out because the American people found out on their own what the truth is,” she told Sky News Australia host James Morrow.
Her comments follow new reports suggesting George Clooney consulted Barack Obama before publishing his op-ed calling for Joe Biden to step down from the presidential race.

@@bevduff6776 I am not in the slightest a fan of the current vice president. However, she is of sound mind. The president is suffering from some form of dementia (we have not been told what type). Some types of dementia can be accompanied by bouts of irrational anger that can severely impair decision making. Kamala Harris is mentally capable of listening to and taking advice and is less likely to make irrational decisions based on rage and fear. The interests of the USA need to be considered ahead of any short term political considerations and the supposed ‘democratic’ rights of those Democrat primary voters. The USA is a constitutional republic before it is a democracy, the safety of the country needs to be put first. Furthermore, the vice president is a constitutional role, the same cannot be said of the role currently being played by Jill and Hunter Biden.

t is probably correct that Clooney called Obama before sending his article to the NY Times. As a friend of Obama he absolutely should. But Clooney has enough money and aura with superstar status that he does not need to fear retaliation from anyone. Clooney is a free man.
