Well deserved winner of this tournament. Beat Selby, Higgins Carter and the WC Brecel. And still didn’t reach the heights he is capable of. If he can keep playing often in competition I think Ronnie will become 8th time world champion at the end of the season.

There was something that i want to articulate as i was watching this. I started to think of the Messi/Ronaldo debate - football and snooker are my passions in sport- i think there is a parallel with Ronnie and John Higgins. They are both GOATS and express it differently in their play. I remember at a world champ, players were asked their opinion of John Higgins; other players used the usual comments, when it came to John, Ronnie paused and gave his response with time and said 'complete'. A response that was full of the respect, of a player, that Ronnie would not be, if John was not there. As on the Messi/Ronaldo debate, i am drawn to Ronnie's expression of natural awareness of the pictures he sees when playing-sometimes it looks as if he is looking down on himself and genius emeges, John's capacity for complete concentration, fluidity and commitment - which is too inspiring- wow, to gave these two players at this level, at the same time. Sensational. By the way, i have been playing snooker for over 40 years, highest break 35 and no one lifted me out the club on their shoulders, bloody deserved it😀

For as long as he lives, I think, not just 30 years. He's living in his own superior world, snookerwise. Other players are playing with either right or left hand but this sullivan is playing with both.

What I have noticed is Ronnie is beating most of his boggey players, a few years ago there where beating him most times , like Selby , Higgins, trump, but he seems to be on another level from them , a bit like tennis player Novak ,seems to rise to a level higher than anyone and maintain it for very long periods

Honest answer. Because he is the best at what he does and imo the only one worth watching. Like AH and JW before him he plays the game with a skill never before seen from other players, just like AH and JW did against the players back in their day. No one can touch him and like the other Legend of the game Stephen Hendry, who said quite correctly, "when Ronnie plays his best, he wins, simple as that". Ronnie won this masters for the 4th time and was in reality only at about 75%. Says a lot that he still won it when not playing at his full potential.

unfortunately Ali did beat Ronnie that match when Ronnie shoulder checked Ali. lol. But Ronnie is just on a completely different level than Ali is. I just can't stand Ali. He just seems like such a jerk. I have no idea what kind of person he is, but on television he just comes across like a big jerk. Always making disgusted faces. He gets mad when his opponent makes a nice shot. And when the other player makes a fluke he just gets so pissed off. To me it just always looks like he has a bad attitude. I don't know if it's true or not, but it always seems that way when I watch him in a match. So anytime he loses is a great day. I love it. haha.
