What an amazing opportunity to explore food in both Silay and Bacolod! What is some of your favourite foods in these two regions of Negros Occidental? Extra special thanks to @christinesaludares4724 for the Aida's recommendation. Best chicken ever

Didn't miss it, but had too much to eat that day so I kept it simple for the video. And check the channel out. I made 5 videos in Bacolod and the first one I made is all about soups and Cansi appears in that along with batchoy and soup#5

There's nothing more delecious foods than the Philipines can offer,, From halo-halo to fancy foods chicken or pork adobo. Very delecoius. US nothing other than sandwich.
@PureDetour
@PureDetour Жыл бұрын
The Philippine has amazing food despite what you often read about it. I will disagree on the US though. As an American I seldom have something good to say about my home country, but the food is definitely one of our highlights. I can only assume you haven't explored US food at all and are going by the typical stereotype that US food is donuts and McDonalds. If you have the opportunity I would highly suggest exploring the different regions in the south eastern US's BBQ scene. Each region does it a little different and all of them delicious and it is probably the best BBQ in the entire world. There is also cajun, seafood and soul food to name a few more than can stand their ground with any cuisine in the world.

In that particular restaurant, since the milk is already pre-mixed with the shaved ice, I think you can get a pass eating it without mixing. And it will taste fine. However, if it's the halo-halo that has evaporated milk poured onto the crushed ice, then you'll definitely need to mix it up. Otherwise, you'll be getting mouthfuls of tasteless ice. :)

Halo-halo doesn't necessarily mean you have to mix it. It can take the form of a noun - mix or adjective mixture. The dessert should be called HALUIN if you want the verb form, which means stir or mix it together in English. We Filipinos should take into account the presentation & visual appearance of our food if we want to compete with other cuisines. Mixing it not only makes it lose its pretty appearance but also makes it a hassle & messy for someone who just wants to enjoy a dessert. Whether we like it or not presentation matters!

well it's true, that halo halo means mix as a verb but its also a noun means a mixture of different things that is ment to be mixed before eating it.

@@TheBacolodFoodHunters I eat the Leche Flan first. Once you mix the halo halo, the leche flan gets utterly destroyed ... as if it were never there in the first place.
@ArchieS-id8lf

I read somewhere that halo-halo was originally called halo halong sangkap. I agree with others who don't mix the leche flan and I also try to eat the ice cream first before the flavours get mixed with the rest. These special toppings were not in the usual halo halo you'd find in the streets.
