Big title that Moore has done was Watchman... other then Somthing, i mean Swampthing. Thanks again for shout out. Ppl need to catch the whatnot auctions, i havent bought anything in a while, but the show is priceless. Wonder what the prices are going to be like this go around

It’s written by Warren Ellis not Alan Moore. I’d even go as far as saying that John Cassaday also wrote it cause you read the art in this book. Seriously.. 10 years to complete 27 issues. Panel for panel was comic book writing at its best! There is a video on KZbin that explains the genius behind Planetary. Every single panel was perfectly thought through. A masterpiece!

I haven’t read any of this myself but I was curious about the differences you guys noticed. After checking the amazon description there’s a few extra issues in the absolute edition that are not included in the omnibus. I also saw some complaints about the binding of the absolute. I was seeing comments that it’s likely the ribbon is glued to the spine. The omnibus appears to not be glued to the spine so it might have better bending than the absolute. So it sounds like there are trade offs to both. The absolute contains more story but glued binding. The omnibus has better binding but less story.

Thank you for showing up the difference between the ABSOLUTE and an OMNIBUS, one of the best comparison I have seen. I didn´t know about the engraving on the HC from the ABSOLUTE, now I am thinking more about that version than the OMNIBUS, I am in a conflict now, since I only collect OMNIBUSES

What’s not to like about OPB? Comic Book series written by Warren Ellis. The series revolves around a trio of "mystery archaeologists" tasked to expose the secret history of the WildStorm comic book universe and protect these secrets from a quartet known as "The Four" who seek to hoard the secrets for their own selfish desires.

The main three characters in planetary are archaeologists and the main bad guys are versions of the fantastic four. Hopefully that I'll get you to read it.

Good comparison. The biggest advantage with absolute or larger size, otherwise the contents itself is little extra bonus.
