Hans designed the Reiser Filesystem. Super smart guy. How did he think he would elude all the police and forensics ?

It is a logical flaw to assume that people who are smart at one thing are smart at all things. Likely Hans fell for that himself. A similar flaw is the frequent association between beauty and moral goodness.

He wasn't trying to murder her, he was just trying to defrag his family filesystem

As a childhood sexual abuse survivor and severe bullying from my peers; let me make this clear for the people in the back, "Being abused doesn't excuse murder, it doesn't excuse abuse of others, and doesn't mean you get a pass on doing illegal sh^t" If abused women or children kill their abuser during the time the abuse is being perpetrated, it's self-defense. But the guy planned on doing what he did, there is zero excuses for him.

Hans Reiser, per Dr. Google: got 15 years to life imprisonment; parole in 2022 refused, next hearing is in 2027 Drives me bonkers how people switch from using “I” to “you” when they talk about something emotional or difficult: “After this case I left, this case really bothers YOU. YOU begin to look at every case as if… it really stresses YOU out…” 🤦🏻‍♀️

The answer is never "she ran away." It's not difficult to find runaways.

Hans is a total zoid. Wonder why he thought his son should play video games, oh i see, it was so he'd have company. That's pretty sick. Wonder what Nina saw in him.

I know families want the bodies back of loved ones and to try to understand what happened but I’d have a hard time wanting to do a plea and risk him getting out and murdering someone else’s loved ones

The plea also means the trial is short and a conviction is guaranteed. It's often a less traumatic option for the family
