Gabe another Aus whitewash in the t20s against SA yday. That's the 3rd whitewash in a year, 3-0 against NZ in the odis last year followed by 3-0 against Eng in odi. We love our whitewashes haha!

Love you guys, and you weren't to know but that's an awful selection of "bests" by the original uploader. None of them are baaaad catches but I'd struggle to put any in the top 100 catches taken with one hand that I've seen on youtube. Anyway, I'm sure you've figured that out. You're all grown up cricket fans now :) If you haven't seen 8 incredible short leg catches, published by robelinda or whatever their name is, do yourselves a favour.

There has been many extraordinary catches in cricket, but if you have not yet had a look at Johnty Rhodes, I would highly recommend it. As far as am I aware he is pretty much the reason fielding standards drastically increased since the 90s and has become a base requirement for fielding ability to be agile, accurate and quick with runouts, throwing your body for catches etc.

I mostly field on slips or boundaries, 80% of catches I take are one handed.. in slips you don't get to think, your body just responds .

The technique the Australians use to stop the ball popping out when they land is to stretch the elbows out- Andrew Symonds used to do that really well
