qatar only has 238 000 citizens. it’s not really a country… more like a petrol station in the desert.

maybe some expert can explain it to me but why go for a low percentage drop shot from deep court, so close to the tin at 5:19, when he was much closer to the wall earlier in the rally and could've killed the ball or been closer on the tin with his shot -- executed a more attacking shot. instead when he was near the front wall he went from a passing shot going to the deep court.

He probably had a choice to go short at 5:06, but it was early in the match and Farag already recovered to the T, if you go short too early and Farag can be very tricky at the front, he might just end up putting himself under more pressure. Instead he hit a cross with good length and width, made Farag do work and give a loose return, which imo was the better choice.

Farag was up on the T quite early at 5:06 and likely would've gotten to the ball before Muller had recovered. At 5:19 Farag steps to the left to anticipate a volley, making him off balance for the drop shot. Since he's off balance he hits a loose cross, which lets Muller get on the ball early to induce another loose shot, which happens twice more before the pressure finally builds up too high and Farag loses the rally.

squash is an unpredictable game. the line between a stupid shot and an incredible shot is very thin.

A pity Mueller didn't win that. Lovely striker of the ball. Faraq gets everything back but not that exciting to watch.

I used to think this. But now I absolutely love watching him. It’s the subtlety’s in his game. How he always finds a way against anyone to win, his movement is crazy good, always moving the ball around trying to trap his opponent at the back of the court, the way he just suckers them in, he’s class.

i'm not his biggest fan either but i'm always surprised how he seems to return EVERY shot

@@sabbialmighty7249 He has a wingspan the width of the court so hard to get the ball past him.

Obviously, the Quataris don‘t seem to think it‘s a „super Tuesday“. Terrible for the players, bad for squash in general.
