​@@CozzmicK1ngFor that reason alone, the final fight is good, followed by the spectacle it offers and how it ends, the bad thing (for me of course) Baldur is a little repetitive in his attacks, he has some new ones but I don't know, in essence they are very similar to his first attacks in that first fight, only with fire, his life bar seems to have been doubled, or that's what it feels like in ng+, I think he has too much life or that feeling, and the ice giant is very cool and everything but he's useless and even annoying at times, although well this is the least bad because at least it gives a spectacle, and it is half justified because Thamur in this game was not a warrior in itself.

I personally think the OG was the best when it came to the Greek Mythology series. The Hydra and Minotaur are too iconic, and the Ares fight was just too cool a moment. Especially since it came at a time when the ending narration from the first game hadn't yet been retconned out.

Hey Kuba it's Charles the lawyer, i really your video, i learn a lot from it about the greek saga, i also agreed with the fact the final fight with Thor and Odin aside not being cinematic have a really good movesets that i like more after playing NG+ multiple time even tho in my opinion it still does not make up of the lack of spectacle in the Ragnarok battle and its one of the reason i like more Spiderman 2 because not it has a really good and dark story ( especialy with the symbiote, Kraven and Venom),the bosses are very epic climactic ,the first boss remind me of the Colossus of rhodes and one the boss fight ( i'm not gonna spoil this one because it's liked to the biggest surprise of the game) its more brutal, climactic and impactfull than Kratos vs Heimdall. And i laugh lot at this part 20:20 😂😂😂

The heimdall fight is way up there in like my top 5 favorite bosses, but i do agree that it couldve been made harder considering Heimdall's abilities. Imagine if (after you hit him the first time) you had to bring up his stun bar all the way in order to damage to him through the entire fight, i imagine it being like you overloading his senses manually with the spear (rather than it being implied thats what ur doing while just being able to hit him freely) and then dealing more and more damage to him as he gets frustrated and as kratos holds back less. Basically just making it more gradual yet intense. Even tho thatd be cool, im happy with what i got. I absolutely love fights thaat are 1 on 1 duels and a battle to the death, so any fight like that immediately is gonna be way up in my list like Zeus, sigrun, and thor etc. Honestly, the only thing keeping me from rating it #1 is that it's not AS hard as other bosses and that really plays a role because I really like the struggle and challenge

I'm a newer god of war fan (I've only played 3, 4, and Ragnarok) and for me, The second Thor boss fight is one of my favorite boss fights I've ever done. Sure the spectacle isn't crazy but the narrative, the emotion, THE MUSIC are all just on a different level. For the first time we see Kratos trying to reason with his enemy because he sees so much of himself in Thor. It's just genius from a writing perspective.

Thor’s final fight may not have been the God of War 3 level spectacle we were hoping for but there’s plenty to love about it. His upgraded move set is fun & fair to dodge, once you’ve got it memorised it becomes an elaborate back & fourth between you. The VA really went all out with his last lines. Thor is *absolutely furious* Blood drunk & regular drunk. On a 2nd playthrough I realised how tragic dialogue really is. Thor’s falling back into his old ways, as a mindless murder machine for the Allfather to control & only Kratos can beat it out of him. His Viking Rage (?) state is awesome with all the electricity & glowing blue eyes. Matching it with Spartan rage just feels SO badass. Just like the first fight, every blow sends you flying, but there’s new threats from the thunderstorms he calls & the flying slams. And lightsaber duelling with the leviathan axe against Mjölnir at the end never gets old. And the music in the final phase… just give it a listen. 9/10 fight, just needed to be longer.

Personally my only disagreement is Heimdall. Personally he’s top 5 for me. Love the way he moves, love all his phases, and his voice actor nails it. In the first stage with Gulltoppr, he’s not getting hurt and just his ride so he’s not taking it seriously. The second phase he’s doing his uses thing of just dodging and blocking every single attack. In the third phase after you hit him, he’s clearly pissed and starts actually fighting you, the second phases attacks being mostly him playing around. The final phase though? JESUS. That initial charge grab attack legitimately made me jump. I love the insanity in that phase and the music is amazing. Plus I love that Heimdall’s theme is just an upgraded Magni and Modi. My real only issue with the fight is it didn’t have the motif that Thor and Odin’s songs do.

I would put Heimdall much higher because I love how he is one of the few who breaks the fourth wall, it's fun. The problem I see is that his fight is much more interesting if your character is at the minimum level, because the boss dodges your attacks much more, in that sense he still has the "hit him at the right moment" factor that I feel is missing. It complements very well with its third phase, which is much more chaotic. With Zeus from gow 3 what happens to me happens to you with the Ragnarok bosses or with the game itself (I think) that phrase "it could have been much better." I mean, why didn't Zeus use the chains of Olympus gauntlet? Why didn't he become a giant again? Why does it seem like he uses the same attacks as in gow 2? The 2D thing was something that we already saw in gow 2 with the last spartan and its third phase with the clones or it is very easy or very difficult, curiously that depends on the player, since if you use certain magic the boss can use more or fewer clones, making it in theory more difficult, but then there is the thing about Gaia's heart that makes the fight very easy since you have infinite life, if you know what to do you can heal yourself infinitely, and Zeus won't be able to do anything about it, he doesn't have any attacks Let it punish that great advantage that we have, at most the attack where it goes to the heart but it is very slow, I don't want it to be misunderstood, I like the fight, and no one can take away the spectacle it offers, but I don't know, All those things that I mentioned resonate in my head every time I replayed his fight, plus the darkness part is a lot to me when it comes to replaying the boss, I always skip it and I think that's the reason why I don't replay his fight much , I'm not exaggerating when I say that I have fought Heimdall or Thanatos like 30 times while with Zeus at most 10. PS: I would never put Cronos so high on the list, mostly because it is NOT fun to replay, but I understand that it is because of the spectacle it offers

I had the same experience, those ideas could've really Made it better. For me i spet more Time with hercules, Thor (both fights), Magni and Modi, Odin, baldur and heimdall and especially Tyr. I definetly like GOW2 Zeus better for some of those reasons. Idk why would Cronos be more replayable than at least Thor, he's a level more than anything.

@@thelegandgamer2830 I feel the same, The problem with gow 3 with the bosses is that the balance regarding the quality of those bosses is very chaotic, it starts strong with Poseidon along with his hippocamps and Hades, then goes down with Helios and Hermes, it goes up again with Hercules, Go down a little with Cronus and go down again with the scorpion, the Cerberus mini boss and go up again with Zeus, I agree with you. although I would also add Poseidon (only if we also include the fight against the horse, since it is still part of him).

19:44 i have issues with this one particular ranking, and solely because of this. The thing is, the entire 'heimdall first hit' phase has three sections right. The first section is where he doesent know what tf draupnir is and what it does. Thats the part where he just grabs the spear and looks at it. Ofc, looks dumb in retrospect but its just him trying to gauge the intent behind us throwing that spear because it didnt do shit to him and then Boom! In his face. Now that he has seen the explosive draupnir move, he's a bit more cautious. Rather than grabbing the spear, he now uses the sword to deflect the spear away from him. But he doesent see the intent behind the spear again. The spear doesent necessarily have to be in contact with the person to stun em, it can explode from the ground as well. So boom again, in his face. The third section is my favorite, because by now Heimdall is a lot more cautious and not only deflects the spear but immediately moves away from it as well. This part gets very strategic and the fact is that there are SOOO many things u can do here. U can throw one spear to his left and right side, then one right at him, and then tag him. You can throw one right at ur feet and then wait until he moves towards you to triangle his ass. You can use rage to make him dash away from u to get him in position for the perfect traingle explosion. Heimdall boss fight is legit in my top 5 boss fights of GoW for this reason. I respect your opinion on it, just wanted to point out a few things here.

You made a good point about the chain freeze mechanic but it more than makes up for it with the sheer scale, build up, music, chase, intensity and that fear you get from the very realistic growls. in my opinion, hrist and mist are one of the hardest fights, i will put it on 4 place, baldur was good but not as good as thor so i will put baldur 5 and thor in 2 place(thor from beggining of game) 3 place is hercules, and the first place is zeus, it is the best fight in gaming history, it would be so much better if zeus was the one that made kratos kill his wife and daughter but for now its the best
