My experience: I did 3 pre-releases, won one of them, saw my friend open an aether vial, got a chandra and a foil gearhulk from my prize packs, and ended up with a total of 9 dual lands, two of them being foil promos from all of my pre-releases. Very fun, except when you are up at 5:00 am, still in the midnight release. lol

Nice. The lands are going to make a difference for the set I think. I pulled two Combustable Gearhulk(s) in the prerelease. One in my kit and the other from the winnings. I posted a video showing what I pulled and cracking the winnings on my channel.

Love the set, played a 2 headed giant, pulled Chandra. we ended up winning 4 packs and pulled from them Nisa, and scroll racks Masterpiece... it was quite fun.

I feel you rated the average cost of a box to low to make it feel like you get more value out of it. How often can you get a box for less than 100$ retail? ( if you aren't sponsored or anything like that) it should be around 115$ average i think.

$100 is the most common price around the US. I'm sure that outside of the states, boxes are much more expensive.

I don't like Kaladesh for draft. Also, I think that the set has too much value in its Mythics and not enough of value in its rares, besides the 5 Fast Lands. BUT, when you look at the set for constructed play, it brings variety, and lots of it. Gimmicky stuff like Aetherflux Reservoir is going to be fun to see in standard.

Leverquin modern is any card from any set and unbanned in one deck. Standard is the sets that are currently in standard which u can look up by just typing in what sets are in standard on google

So my takeaway from this is that Masterpieces have indeed brought down the cost of standard, which in turn makes the prospect of buying a box even worse than ever. It's basically masterpiece or bust. You had to include 20 cent rares to get you even close to the $100 value! It will be interesting to see what this will do in the long run.

Meh, lower prices doesn't mean lower playability. Cards will still see play, so the prospect of buying a box for profit, which has ALWAYS been a bad idea, is worse. I still buy boxes for singles, willing to take the loss on value that way.

this will make it to where regular people don't get to enjoy cracking packs - the only people who will do so are stores because only they can afford to deal with the variance of the boxes. Also, it will reduce the amount of drafts and sealed events people do because their odds of recouping value from the experience will be much less. Overall inventions cheapen the entire feel of Kaladesh. I'm not excited to play Kaladesh anymore. Everything feels worthless and cheap.

At first I said opening boxes is just for fun and not for profit. I cracked a box and did a draft. Monetarily I was only saved by a Chandra pull, but yea seeing great cards getting pulled then seeing their cheap prices online is kinda disheartening.
