Because Australia and New Zealand largely didn't experience covid until Delta arrived on our shores, the aus pm stuffed up by not ordering vaccines and then stuffed the rollout so we've been in lockdown whilst waiting to get vaccinated over 80%. Thankfully the UK, Poland and Singapore have lent us 7million extra vaccinations to make up for our inept government. In Australia we have 25million people and just recently went over 1,400deaths. NZ with nearly 5million people have done even better with only 28 deaths. We haven't experienced covid like most other countries.

Are people in Australia being resistant about getting vaccinated? We are doing somewhat better on encouraging people to get vaccinated in the US, but it’s a slow process to overcome vaccine hesitation. I really hope things improve in your country.

Having grown up in Nashville, seeing thousands of people who come here to break into the music business and go somewhere else to work at Amazon after they were told “Don’t call us - We’ll call you.” Then others who become homeless and the only thing they have left is a beaten up, (usually a Fender because they don’t know any better) acoustic guitar. They’re ubiquitous! Everywhere! Lost souls that spent their last dollar to get here, thinking they’re the next George Jones or Hank Williams… it’s so sad. It’s also ruining what use to be a great small city. She’s DREAMING!!!

Do NOT have your things appraised at a "pawn shop." FIRST take them to an antiquarian or to a certified appraiser (be they of jewellry, antiques, books, documents, numismatics, & c.).

The 925 necklace stands for sterling silver. No jeweler in the world would ever set high quality diamonds into a 925 necklace. That necklace is worth 150usd at most, but I doubt those are even diamonds.

You're right, according to the jewelry expert at my place, the diamond is heavy and the sterling silver cannot support the weight of the diamond. so it must be tied with gold or platinum only.

Big difference between retail and wholesale sale. Luxury goods, especially jewelry, retail for much more than their wholesale value. The retailer has to make a profit.
