I go back to the leather boot/double camber ski every one in a while, and every time I do I question why I stuck with freeheel skiing. The leather boot and repurposed alpine ski with the SuperLoop combo is where the fun began.

Great idea to test télémark through the years from 80s to nowadays. Would love to try it again for fun and souvenirs... I started Tele with fisher e99 and nnn bc binding. ! I still have this stuff at home, but didn't have ski it since 20 years sure !

Très créatif ton challenge... J'ai hâte d'écouter ça. Ça m'arrive aussi de changer de gear pour faire mousser l'intérêt en station... J'adore les Superloop. Mais je skie normalement 01, 02, Spike, Telebulldog... (skis avec des inserts). En passant, tu peux aussi mentionner que les Superloop s'ajustent en regard de l'activité... 3 positions.

Rene, I have been on Rainy Superloops with a Voile release kit and T1 boot. I love the set up. Every year I look to replace the binding and I can’t find anything as safe simple and light. I think the sport went complex and technical and moved in the wrong direction for bindings. I only ski resort downhill. I don’t want to be like the commenter caught an edge blew out a knee.

Very curious about the BMF-R ... in 75mm (for now). Been a die-hard 22-Designs Axl user since foreever (and Hammer Heads before that). Sounds like the performance is about the same as the Axl more or less, perhaps less adjustability (pivot point), a bit heavier, and much more convenient (step in and brakes). Any hands on experience out there? Is the weight difference of any consequence?

Eric Raymond I don’t know about the weight but I really liked to tour mode on the BMF and the step in. The power is NO problem at all even without the lack of pivot point adjustments.

Hello Mischa. It does, look at the Meidjo 3.0 + alpine heelset. The-m-equipment.com Been using that for a few years now. Make sure your boots are compatible

@@Absolutetelemark Good to hear I have meidjos on both pairs of my skis but don't know anyone else with them, so never can compare thoughts. Very happy with them, however one pair occassionally fails to engage the boot heel.

I love my BMFs but I just blew me knees out catching an edge on a groomer... gonna switch to something with release once I heal. Hit me up if you want a set of BMF3 for 75mm..
