Regarding the age of the game, last year is when Holocure was put on Steam. Before that it was only available by downloading it directly from the developer's website. The update is on the 15th. And something you may want to consider with the update so close: Azki is most likely going to be completely changed to the point that she'll basically be a new character (the dev has stated their intent to do so, I'm not sure if it's been confirmed for this update or not, but it seems likely). The reason for this is because at the time that she was added to the game, she had mostly only focused on music content, and there weren't many clips of her and stuff. So the dev didn't really have that much to go off of when designing her skills and stuff other than "idol". She's opened up and done a lot more stuff since then, so Kay wanted to update her design to be more accurate like the other characters. So if you want to check out her current design before she gets changed, then there is a clock on that. Also, since you were wondering about it....I will confirm that there is indeed a vampire in this game.

The next update will add a new feature known as "The Usada Casino" run by Usada Pekora, a war criminal bunny princess and Pekora herself will be a playable character. Good to see that you continue these series. Now here is a small nitpick/advice on my end.(if you don't appreciate people giving you tips on playing a game please skip, I would hate to sour you experience of playing this game with unsolicited advices) Remember, character specific weapons, on lvl 7 usually get special traits that can make them quite powerful. Character specific skills ,are usually OP and have great synergy between them and the main weapon. Skills on level 3 most often gain new powerful effects. Now on skills. When you see the character's "skills" hinting you to make a certain build (crit/healing/haste etc), it's a good idea to follow that hint. Bae for instance has the most powerful critical build in the game(at least until 0.7 comes out in a few days) and even without crit items, she can reach about 40% crit rate on her skills alone. And once proc they can do up to 4 times the critical damage(paired with her special, she can drop even mid-level bosses in seconds). So to recap, Main weapon>Skills> everything else. Again this is just me nitpicking and giving unsolicited advice, if you don't appreciate people giving you such advice, then my apologies. My aim is not to tell you how to do things, but rather give you information I wished I had when I first started the game. Anyway, have a good day. And I hope you keep enjoying Holocure.

The reverse stamp is useful for people who don't aim, because if they are running away from the enemies they are not aiming at them. Also you can access the stamps from the escape menu and remove stamps you don't like.

To be completely honest, I oddly liked that you missed the ability to twin-stick aim in your first video. It brought back memories of first playing the game before controller or mouse support was added and being just as hyped as you were at just having the ability to strafe. And while strafing isn't as convenient as actual aiming, it did have an extra element of skill to do quickly change your attack direction that could feel pretty satisfying to do well. So it was nice listening to you experience that before taking advantage of the newer aim support.

@@mukti5896 Thing is, I recall people trying the no-move challenge before the achievement was added, and even before aiming was added. The earliest days of Holocure, back in 0.3 there were only the 11 EN characters and just the first stage, and soon players began doing self-imposed challenges to keep things interesting, which include challenges such as no moving, only picking the first option, thematic builds (lore resembling, items/weapons matching in color, etc) and of course trying to reach the 30-minute mark. Back then Ina also had an immortal build which was crazy. There are characters that have weapons that don't aim such as Aki and Sana, or little effect of aiming such as Fauna. Fauna and Sana tend to be common picks for doing the no movement challenge. I think I recall someone beating the no-move challenge with Kiara before the achievement but can't recall if it was before or after aiming was added. At present though with aiming I believe Stage 1 has been done no-movement with all current characters. As for no-movement on the other stages I recall someone used Fauna to complete Stage 2 and almost Stage 1 Hard but lost to the final boss.

I have never seen "weeb" used as a serious slur. It IS mildly derogatory, but most often is used as a mild rib among friends or even self-deprecating joke. Where "weaboo" (the original word it derives from) IS used seriously, it's used to describe someone who is a fan of SURFACE LEVEL japanese culture/oriental exoticization, which is annoying and doesn't reflect well on the community, but again, I would not consider that a slur, just an insult more generally. On the other hand, "otaku" is the Japanese word for "obsessive," "nerd," or "geek," and while it has been adopted as a self-label by the international community of fans of Japanese media, in Japan proper actually IS used as a slur, in the same way "nerd" or "geek" were in the 80s before it got "reclaimed" by the communities it was used against. I'd honestly say it's a more dangerous word to use THAN "weaboo" or "weeb" despite its use--tho as with "weeb" it's only a slur in CONTEXTS where it's used as one, so I wouldn't be afraid to use it in general on the internet. In other words, I think the commenter who told you not to use it has a...limited view of the linguistics here, and you should not be afraid to use "weeb" in the casual, self-deprecating manner you have been.

I don't even know what the requirements for something to be a slur is anymore. I thought it had to be an insult that targeted an innate trait of someone (gender race etc). Weeb is something people choose to be, it's not inherent to someone's existence. It's also used as a self descriptor by a lot of people. Sounds like whoever was getting aggro at you would have gotten offended by something else if it wasn't this. Just ignore them, they're bonkers. Otaku is something that's usually really only used by Japanese people, seems weird to use. It's also usually targeted to Japanese people. A Japanese obsessed nerd would be an Otaku, a western obsessed by Japanese culture would be a weeb.

Those glowstick guys are healing the horde/bosses by a percentage (turn on damage numbers to see this). They're the ones giving you the hardest time in the latest stage, especially later... Also, Fubuki's skills are quite synergistic; try exploiting her invulnerability as much as possible, and you'll see what she can truly do.

1:07:22 I've only watched this far so I don't know if you figured it out later, but this stamp is even more hilariously pointless. Upgrading it to level 2 reverses the effect. Yes. That means your weapon is aiming forward once again. Pointless? Then you should see it at level 3. It reverses the reversed effect. Now it's aiming backward again! The devs should really make it an achievement of having this, RGB, and trumpet maxed out at once if they haven't already, lmao.

I mean if you like strafing nobody is stopping you, it's there for a reason. It just needs to be a conscious decision since stage 3 hard won't slow down to help you aim. The first versions of the game only had strafing so I used to play it like that as well, but later stages are not balanced around that anymore.

Since you got Akai Haato, I'm just gonna type some lore about her. As the first member that can communicate in English, she and Coco were referred as EN gen 0. Her original lore is just a shy tsundere high schooler, but as time goes on, she started become more loud and wild, almost a complete 180 from when she first started, during this time she got the nickname "Haachama". She also got a new outfit, a black and red dress contrast with her original white and blue uniform. The most well-known thing she does during this time is eating a tarantula on stream. Due to how different she is now, fans started making jokes about Haato was killed by Haachama. A few months before she reaches 1 million subs, something strange happened, she suddenly appeared in her original outfit and started talking like she first started and referred herself as Akai haato, also her memories appears to continue from before "Haachama" appear. Halfway into the stream, people were still wondering what happened, until suddenly the stream glitch out and Haachama comes back and just continue like nothing happens. Thus begins a psychological horror series about split personalities, the story advances in various ways, such as short videos, karaoke or the sudden glitches in stream. Almost everyone including some of the members were extremely invested in what's she doing. To me, this is still one of the coolest projects that a vtuber has ever created.

The axe with lava collab becoming a comet is because suisei really picked up in popularity after her original song "Stellar". Her rise from that song has a whole backstory behind it too, which is why she is so beloved by many, but you can research more into that if you want :)). And iirc her and miko collabing together was coined "miComet" after one of their minecraft streams wayyy in the past, which is a reference to the song! Looking forward to more holocure :)

That is... just wrong. 1. Suisei was plenty popular before "Stellar Stellar" (twice). It's just that it came out more or less around the time when Hololive was during its peak popularity boom, so basically everyone there got EVEN MORE popular then. 2. The story behind the collab is extremely simple: One of the most popular clips of Miko and Suisei respectively were ones including a lava bucket and an axe (which then clip-watchers repeated ad infinitum, making them basically *into* parts of the girls' identities), more recently, the girls became a bit of a 'duo' and called it 'MiComet' - that's basically just it. The rest is unnecessary flair here, and with how surface-level the dev's knowledge about most of the girls is, I highly doubt that he'd even know any such bigger story anyway.

Once you're done with all the content, including whatever's to come in 0.7, i recommended going back to older versions like 0.3, to see whats different. (for example, in that version, Ina, the tentacle girl, could go infinitely in endless mode with enough haste and a specific item combination.)

There is a way to declutter the screen a bit. In settings there is a slider that reduces transparency of your attacks, try it.

Your english is great! No issues there. I actually stopped doing live streams those two years ago! It wasn't really working out for me, so I switched to recording offline instead. Back then I was also going through some stuff and did not feel like socialising too much. But maybe some day I'll set up live sessions again. Who knows?

You can hear many of the English speaking girls in Hololive call themselves weebs on stream, but never otaku. For me using 'otaku' has fallen out of fashion and 'weeb' is the English speaking side of the 'otaku' culture.

Yea, Otaku always seemed to be a specific lifestyle of some Japanese people while weeb is mostly used as foreigners enjoying japanese drawn media such as anime and manga Although otaku is moreso a lifestyle, so you don't have to be Japanese to be one (just mostly used for that) and weebs are used for foreigners but doesnt mean you HAVE to be a foreigner (just mostly used for that)

I can't say I am a trueborn Warhammer fan because I only joined from the Total War: Warhammer games in to the fantasy side, but over these 8 or so years, I've been enjoying getting in to it's lore through all the videogames and various videos! Last year I started to play 40K Gladius on my own time and have learned a lot more about 40K as well! It's some good stuff! Great world building.

The weeb vs otaku debate is stupid. Many places/people, especially in the east, consider the word otaku a slur. It is seen as condescending. Regardless, it's kind of weird to be so serious about how bad either word is. Some years ago, even the word anime had negative connotations.

@@altrivotzck6565 Pretty spot on. Nerd culture is a pretty neutral term, but one could also use the word nerd as a pejorative term. Similar to the word weeb, it also has origins in negative meanings. Just shows that the way people use and understand words change.

There's nothing wrong with the word "weeb." Whomever got upset must have been living under a rock for the past 15 years. Like, it was originally used as an insult, but it's one of those reclaimed words that have been used ironically for so long that it's new meaning is more positive. And, if anything, "otaku" actually has more negativity associated with it. Just look up the English definition if you don't believe me. (I'm not saying not to use it, I'm just making a point.) Either way, you're good. You shouldn't have to change your vocabulary because of some one rando. You keep doin you. I thought your last video was great. 👍

lol who every said weeb is a slur wasnt exactly right Techinically Otaku is a Deragatory term originally use to from the jp mainstream to group folks to into/passionite about thier hobby that it negatively affected there daily life commonly assoicated with anime and manga culture but term includes all hobbies/passions, well more its a "slur" in japan, most folks specifically the internet and the west took it in the early 2000's as a word meaning otaku=anime fan little misundertanding of the time but it became a thing. Weeb is generally these days not taken so serious as its basicly just a meme'ish word used these days instead of otaku but is weeb a slur not really. the slur would be "weeaboo" were the word weeb came from. Weeaboo being the term for folks of non japanese origin or culture so into Japanese subcultures to the point of disrespecting both their own and the japanese culture. So to Sum up while on the internet Use weeb or otaku as you really want or are use too just dont be negative about it... meme away
