Hi everyone!
I love grungy art and using mixed media to create interesting abstracts. Sometimes they only represent something particular to the beholder. And, sometimes it is cool to create something that is representational in an abstract way. That is what I did with this piece. The idea was an old city or neighborhood somewhere in the world that is neglected or in ruins.
The materials I used include:
CANVAS: 8 x 8 Canvas board
ACRYLICS: FolkArt Color Shift Green Flash and Yellow Flash, Crafter's Gold Metallic, DecoArt Buttermilk, DIY gray
PASTES: Lightweight Joint Compound
INK: DIY brown alcohol ink (made during filming); Arteza Coffee Real Brush Pen
OIL PASTELS: Orange and gold
STENCILS: DIY dashes stencil
COLLAGE: Two scraps from an old projects on watercolor
TOOLS: PVC white card, soft brush head, texture comb, sponge
OTHER: CVS 91% Isopropyl alcohol, CVS pure glycerin

FORMER CHANNEL: You might been familiar with my old channel, Junk Draw Journals, that I retired after 10 months (with 1270 subscribers) because I want to do just abstract vs journaling. I did both there, but I want to fully focus on abstracts. I hope you found me again!!!
