Thank you again, David. As a writer, I have learned to just WRITE first, edit later. Seems like the same applies to painting!

I found this video helpful as I am an over thinker. I guess that's what happens when your an MBA and have to analyze every little thing. However, as a beginning artist it is something I am going to work on. Thanks for this!

Thanks a lot Respected Sir for this video. I paint first like you are saying and it comes from my subconscious mind. There is so much to learn from your knowledge

So true. I can't count how many times I started a project and let the negative thoughts sink in. Needless to say, those projects were abandoned after a few strokes and I tried something else. Best thing to keep in mind is if it looks like a mistake, note it then push it aside and keep going. You can always add more layers, change colors, or just build onto the base. Some of my best drawings are nothing close to what they were suppose to have been be cause I allowed them to shapeshift into something better. Looking forward to more videos from you!

David M. Kessler, love this video bc this is what I struggle with so bad! Thinking before painting.Ughhh
@davidm.kesslerfineart17176 жыл бұрын
Robyn it’s a common problem. Just concentrate on letting go rather than analyzing - it will change the way you paint!

David M. Kessler Fine Art I actually did recently in oils and I got so many responses in my art group on fb. Several ppl saw things I didn't at first...One being a horse's head (the side of it). I would love to send u a pic of it and tell me what u think? There's no way I can attach a pic in the comments here otherwise I would've already.LOL
