Abstract Painting / Satisfying / Acrylics / Masking Tape / Demo

satisfying abstract painting using masking tape, palette knife and brush. I used the palette knife to layer the acrylics, what creates the lovely textures. The brush is used for the smooth blending and to add some splashes. The masking tape is used for shading to get some additional depth.
Colors used:
Black(Sennelier"Abstract"), Carmine Red(Sennelier"Abstract"), Cadmium Red Deep Hue(Sennelier"Abstract"), Cadmium Red Orange Hue(Sennelier"Abstract"), Azo Orange(Royal Talens"Amsterdam"), Cad Yellow Deep Hue(Sennelier"Abstract"), Turquoise(Sennelier"Abstract"), Titanium White(Sennelier"Abstract")
Acrylic paint on canvas (40x40cm)

My painting came out horrible. I used to much black paint. My paint also started drying up before I could finish. The more paint I used the worse it got. So, of course I scraped it. I’ll keep trying. I wish you would consider doing tutorials on UTBUE . I would certainly tune in. But, I did some “pour paintings” today and those came out ok. But I really want to learn how to paint abstract paintings like yours.

You can spray a bit of water on the canvas/paint to keep it wet, but don't over do it! Try to just kiss the surface when you add the next layer of paint.
