Unfortunately, I am not really good at physics but from what I understand, physics assume that objects are some sort of sphere all the time, don't they? Hmm, I just found a wikipedia article on "spherical cow", so you might be onto something!

I take it that cutting it into a million tiny squares and building an approximate bunny pixel-by-pixel isn't in the spirit of things lol

the issue with this idea is whether you get the precise polygon or whether you get just an approximation.... but that's a good point, in practice we might not care to get the precise figure, after all, isn't your idea what all our screens are doing anyways?
