I feel like iron clad is the easiest character to master the cards, even if the card is not good, you can just throw them into the exhaust deck then ignore them.

I have stopped taking the rare relic option in part because the last 3 times in a row I've taken it I got Turnip of all things. Why is that crappy thing even in the rare relic pool!

Cuz it's quite decent, might not do that much in act 1 but is still useful at times, and saves a decent chunk of hp in act 2 usually. Meanwhile stone calendar literally does nothing until act 2 boss 99% of the time, and even then it usually just breaks your fatal setups for act 3.

It feels like almost every enemy in act 3 can inflict frail on you, as can heart and collector. It’s not useful in every fight but the ones it is are sooooo much better with it

@@Starcanum-Stone Calendar definitely needs either a rework or some changes, it's completely useless. If you can endure til round 7, odds are that you already have something to beat any encounter regardless of its crappy damage anyway. I managed to beat A19 heart, starting with it from whale bonus on watcher and checking the run history it did literally 0 damage the entire run. Turnip can save a lot of hp comparatively.

Question, if I'm vulnerable and I have Orange Pellets and I play a skill, two powers, and an attack, the vulnerable will go away. If I then play Flex and then play a second attack, will the strength down go away? Or do I need to play a third power for the strength down to go away? Basically, what I'm asking is does Orange Pellets activate each time you play a Power, Skill, and Attack, or does it activate each time you play a Power, Skill, and Attack after the last time it was activated?

it feels so weird that he both took so many more strikes and was offered so many more that he removed the perfected strike especially at plus it would to a lot of damage although the negative there is unless your deck is full of a lot of perfected strikes you are filling your deck with a lot of dull blades just to sharpen one into a deadly attack but then you would draw it less the deadlier it gets

New StS player here. And I am not familiar with your channel. I am looking for suggestions, but I see you are running a bunch of mods. I play vanilla. Do you mods help you win more consistently? In other words, do you use the mods to get an advantage over the vanilla? I just would like to know before I invest too much time.

All of his mods are either for streaming (run history and relic stats) or for just a bit more information on things like potion or rare card chance (infomod). None of these really provide any advantage, if they did things like the winstreak record wouldn't count.

It's not clear to me why you think he has been lucky. I mean there are unlucky runs with horrible draws that kill good deck and that wasn't one of them. Apart from that... He does see a lot of cards and fight a lot of bosses. It's not surprising he gets some strong combo. Also he has quite strong draw - look at how many times he uses pellets to that end and play two battle trance in a turn.

Flex + Orange Pellets + Red Skull + Twin Strike (or 0 cost attacks) + Vulnerable. Flex can be a damage plan if you have enough block and card draw to play it more than once in one turn.

I'm not really into the logic about prayer wheel and question card making bust crown worse. You still see 4 cards per combat, that's 3 more than you would see without those relics. It may not be worth it, but I find it hard to say that it makes it worse

It’s the other way around. Busted Crown makes the Question Card and Prayer Wheel worse. If you have the latter two relics, mitigating the downside of Busted Crown is not the best use for them. What you really want to do is what Baalorlord did in this video: hunt aggressively for good cards by looking at 8 cards in every normal combat reward.

​@@anvil-o4l Question Card and Prayer wheel are strong because those relics together almost guarantees you that you will see some kind of win condition if you take some combats. This is why seeing 8 cards per combat is almost always better than seeing 4 cards but with +1 energy. Why would you sacrifice a guaranteed win for one more energy? The closest win condition Baalorlord had when he could take the busted crown was Corruption and Feel no Pain. There is always a chance that you will not get those cards even with Question Card and Prayer Wheel, but those relics almost guarantees you some kind of win condition. Baalorlord did not see those two cards in the run, but he saw more cards and he did find another win condition along the spire, which probably would not have happened if he took Busted Crown. That's my overthinking, though.
