In his autobiography, Over the Top and Back, Tom recalled meeting Melinda Rose Trenchard, known as Linda, when they were walking to school when they were just 12. They reportedly started dating at 14, and when she fell pregnant, the two married in March 1957, when they were just 16. They were married 59 years at the time her death 2016.

My mother was so crazy about TJ. We'd watch his TV show every Friday night with popcorn and sodas. His TV show was like a weekly event in our house back in the early 70s. 😊

Tom is around 83 and sounds just as good now as he did in his heyday. There are clips of him on KZbin as a judge on the Voice UK where he has sung. It's amazing.

Ahhhh, Tom Jones! My Mom had the hots for him back in the 60s and 70s. He had a show that was on once a week. Never missed one. 😂

I think everyone's mom did; mine sure did! Though I do remember peeking into the kitchen one night when the show was on, and my dad was dancing to the song with a wooden spoon as a microphone, so Tom had wide appeal.

I love seeing anyone exposed to Sir Tom Jones for the first time, he was married to the same woman, I believe his high school sweetheart for many many years, until she died! You are going to get my laptop pregnant, I about fell out of my chair! Thank you AB! FABULOUS!

There was a time when you couldn’t swing your hips like that on national TV a lot of times it was censored but eventually everybody came around and Tom knew how to get the ladies excited I was just a kid when he became famous and even as a kid I knew there was something special about him. Tom was married at the time and had a kid, but that never stopped him. He was well known as a ladies man and nobody seem to care that he was married. Tom had a lot of groupies. That’s how we used to dance back in the day. People don’t dance together like they used to. I still do it when I go out with my friends and I dance with my grandchildren as well. I have enlightened my girls over the years and my grandchildren on how much fun it was growing up in the 60s, 70s and 80s. It was great back in the day being surrounded by all this great music. I wish I could go back sometimes. Younger generations need to get out there sing, dance and have as much fun as possible as if no one were watching. Get your nose out from in front of the computer, cell phone, and social media and get your groove on. it is what still keeps me young at the age of 62✌🏻😎

So many entertaining performances through the decades. Many ladies of all ages loved him. There is a video of Jennifer Hudson (fellow voice coach who performed with him) "crushing on him". Even in his 80's he still has the swag😂 Feel a bit sorry for his wife but she seemed to tolerate his behavior as long as he came home to her - which he did, and he apparently loved her and grieved for her when she died. Thanks for your entertaining reaction AB!!

Yeah Tom was known for his moves. Different to Elvis, actually.more suggestive and like Elvis there was a time when on TV he wasnt filmed from the waist down. Funny that he and Elvis were good friends too lol.

LOL There's a video of Elvis havin' a Kiss-fest, too, while singing "Love Me Tender". I think you've reacted to the song, but you did the wrong video---I think "best live 1970", is in the title!!

Tom was knocking back 250 women a year when he was on the road. He was a bad man, but his wife stayed. He did admit that during an argument about his cheating , his wife doubled up her fist and hit him in the face!!

Yes , Tom is a lady’s man and he’s very talented. However this song was originally done by Roy Head who during the last part of the song would go crazy on stage…. Dancing if you’d even call it that. Check him out.

Isn’t it funny The new generations, including me really. Even though I am 59 years old, but they were dancing and being sexy and gyrating doing all that stuff before we thought that was possible. But what goes on now is nothing new. It’s copycats from certain people in the past. But it was less orchestrated and more free Spirit. I’m not impressed with the new entertainment much. Because they’re not entertaining. Sometimes their voices sound all the same to me. I don’t know what that is about that.

I'm 55, my Mom told me stories about women would throw their bras and underwear on stage during his concerts!! I'm not sure if Elvis was the first singer where women threw those on stage, but I know they did for Tom!!!

Tom Jones is what Carlton WANTED to be - that was the joke, never what Tom Jones was. TJ loved women, loved rock and roll, and was full of energy, rhythm, good natured sexual attraction, a sheer delight. And still is at almost 84. LOL

There is a reactor who goes back to the fifties, sixties, and seventies who refers to what she calls the “Panty Dropper Club.” Tom Jones is a premier starter member of the club. When the show is live but not on television there will be ladies throwing their underwear (top and bottom) and hotel room keys up on stage. As my wife used to say Tom is sex on a stick. And if the stories are true he’s a nice guy also.

I am 71 years old and I was introduce to The Tom Jones show by my grandma , she loved Tom Jones and we watched his show every week and let me tell you Grand loved the man .
