What size drill bit did you use to drill out the worm gear cover?

Is that a pro rocket black edition that you took the paint off and polished to get it chrome looking?

Can you just take the levelwind off and leave it off or is this an integral component? Id like to get one of these reels without a levelwind. Thanks!

Justin Mugno This video was made for people who want to change the standard levelwind for a bearing version. If you want the reel and don't want a levelwind; by a chrome rocket 6500 CT

Without bearings on both ends that is useless.

That statement shows ignorance of the parts in question. A standard levelwind comes without bearings but still does the job. An Abu C4 or C5 OR a PMR Speed bearing levelwind comes with one bearing . The Abu's with a standard bearing and the PMR version with an Abec 5 stainless steel bearing! The duel bearing levelwinds tend to be standard bearings, cost stupid money and after 6 months of salt water fishing both bearings need to be changed. BUT; the bearing by the brass cog cannot be replaced because of how they are converted SO you end up having to buy a new levelwind worm gear with duel bearings if you can find one. Or spend stupid money on a duel bearing replacement levelwind. Moral of this post, buy a levelwind with a single bearing so you can replace it when needed and put brain in gear before engaging fingers to type!!!
